On the docks we get reception only if the tower is not busy. It appears US Cellular is low priority. Cingular users can roam the docks and talk anytime, but US Cellular only can do that on when it is not busy at the docks, like during the week. Forget using cell phone at dock on weekends or switch to Cingular.

We live on a high hill in Big Cabin and we get zero reception with AT&T (Cingular). Would love to find a phone carrier that would work.

Service non existent, dropped calls. Former Alltel subscriber with good service -- lost it all with Verizon merger. I have been in constant touch with Technical Support since June 4th trying to document why I have to pay monthly in the amount of $187 (including data package that is sketchy at best) for service I cannot use. I am a Realtor and husband has small business and Alltel serviced us well! This is a nightmare. I have been told it was because of Tornado damage to towers (had problems long before tornados in the area), Monopoly issues with takeover (FCC?), upgrades being done -- not one straight answer or maybe they do not know? One guy told me his paygrade was not high enough to discuss it with me -- what does that mean?! Our neighbors have the same issues as does my sister who lives in the area. Both of them were former Alltel Customers and went with Verizon because of guarantee of services, etc. Of course we all had to buy Verizon Equipment to access towers and here we are -- locked into contracts and no service on contracts paying for service we cannot use. I am in the process of trying to document to either have problem fixed or be released from contract. We are all tired of fighting. My sister has had the added issue of being slammed by Verizon for additional charges she did not autorize and has been trying to deal with the Grove store on that one -- an additional nightmare. My next step will be to get in touch with FCC and 2 News on Your Side in Tulsa to see if we can get answers. It would appear that Grand Lake is indeed a black hole if one lives outside of Grove City limits and I know that is our choice to live in the Country and on the lake but if your Providers cannot give us the service we need then release us from Contract and stop the charges.

Good reception in Joplin and going east to Sarcoxie. As you go south on Hwy. 43 from I-44, you have no reception. Nothing in Seneca and on down to Tiff City. Crossing into Oklahoma reception picks up. You might get 3 bars around Grove, OK, but absolutely nothing once you go into Wal-Mart in Grove.

The reason I am even logged into this sight is because I for some reason cannot make an outgoing call since I got into the muskogee area. I also cant call my voicemail! Although I am able to get incoming calls as well as send and receive sms text messages.

I may get a partial ring, no bars at all from my residence. When I can and if I get to talk, I must freeze in the position... Really Blows! Other than that... It's a great phone.

Switched to Verizon almost 1 year ago,,has been the worst cell phone experience of my long cell phone using life! My mother worked for one of the first cell companies in Tulsa area,,,and that 20# trunk mounted mobile phone had better service then 2012 Verizon. Representitives will lie to get you to buy their products but nothing they say is should be believed,,,we as people of Oklahoma will never get better coverage because we are dumb enough to buy 4G products and pay 4G prices to companies who will never provide quality service! A perfect example Verizon wireless! I am building a website about cell company deceptions that common americans fall for and just end up complaining to no avail! Verizon is one of those companies,,,worthless!

There's NO reception, no matter what kind of cell phone we try. Neighbors report the same problem. We need our cell phones for business and really can't afford to spend a $1000 on equipment (like repeaters) we don't know how to install.
