My phone works well until the last 500 yards before I get home--then it cuts out and drops calls. It's frustrating to not be able to receive calls when I'm home, and to not be able to make calls unless I walk up the street and compete with the neighbor's dog for volume. I feel like the guy from the commercials: Can you hear me now? The other place it doesn't work is near my workplace in Eugene up near Spencer's Butte. Funny--the two places I spend the most time and I pay $50 a month for a phone I can't use the majority of my day. Other than those two areas, the phone and the service has been great. No other dropped calls or problems.

I get no reception in my home. I have to go out side my house if I want to talk to anyone. Verizon told my wife and I that they could do nothing, not even give us new phones that would get better reception like the type of phones her parents have, we are stuck with these cheap Kyocera phones for another year. Thanks for the help verizon!

My phone is always showing "analog roaming" and every call made costs extra.

I could never get a signal strength strong enough to hold a call. If I went outside by the office, I could sometimes get 3 to 4 bars to make a call, but within a minute or so, the bars would drop to nothing and my call would get dropped. I cannot believe Verizon would not have towers alongside the I-5 corridor.

Huge dead spot, calls drop almost every time I drive down this busy, thriving street almost in the middle of town. This is more or less comparable to having no reception in, say, Brooklyn Heights. This area is urban, not far-flung wilderness; you'd think you could get calls here.

Oakway / Coburg intersection, Eugene, OR 97401 Tue Jun 07, 2005

T-Mobile had a total dead spot over my house near the Oakway Center. The phone was unusable. I switched to AT&T (tdma) which is better, but still drops calls randomly.

Buyer Beware! I don't get any signal on Ashland St. (Route 66), and spotty reception in the Railroad District (approximately 3 / 4 mile and in line of site from the tower). I have been told I need to buy another, better phone, to replace my 13 month old phone. For that I need to migrate to Cingular. I can't migrate to Cingular, because I still have 10 months left on my AT&T contract. Catch 22. Would you choose to do business with a company like this?

A consistent dead Spot. Sprint has always had poor coverage. The phone itself seems to work fine, but the call quality of the Sprint network is scratchy, not to mention the sporadic dead spots.
