I have to sign up with A T and T wireless phone service in order to use the 50% family plan her business offers she and her family. She works in S. F., I obviously live in Bend and I teach online and would use the email functionality to communicate with my students while awar from home. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions about A T and T in Bend? I have to decide in 2-3 days. Thank you so much, Susan

My phone has some weird issue, where it will see a "Ghost" Verizon tower signal. if I can get it to ignore that signal, it has great roaming via USCC. None of my friends who visit the area have issues, and I have not had this issue before with my old (Vx4300) phone... I believe that Verizon is planning on moving to the area, and my new phone (Which has AMAZING) reception may be picking up one of Verizon's towers that is not yet active.

Griffin Creek Rd. / Griffin Creek Lane intersection, Medford, OR 97501 Tue Sep 04, 2007

every once in a while we will a call in however we can never answer it because it cuts out. They keep on saying that they are putting up new towers however after 3 years with them, I have yet to see an improvement. We will be looking into higher power phones, analog / digital options, antennae, etc.

I have tried someone elses phone, on AT and T, it works most of the time, a cheaper simpler phone. My phone is a very high end, expensive phone and can hardly ever get reception at home. I have missed several very important conference calls due to poor reception. AT and T, tell me that if someone else has same carrier in the house and it works, it is my cell. I have used and bought differnent phones.

Hillside South of Where Row River Dumps Into Doren, Cottage Grove, OR 97424 Sat Aug 18, 2007

This location is about 900 foot above and south of Shoreview Rd.where Row River dumps into Dorena Lake. On rare occasions we can get one bar of reception but cannot receive or originate calls. Some folks with Verizon Wireless can sometimes originate calls from this location.

Hwy. 101, Langlois, OR 97450 Sat Aug 11, 2007

Have tried Cingular, Verizon, Edge Wireless, US Cellular and back to Cingular / ATT with generally no reception / service from any of them. Probably the best was a Samsung phone from Cingular but when I lost that phone ATT sent me a Nokia 2610 and now I consistently get NOTHING, not even in areas where I could previously get reception with the Samsung! Really disgusting! We are in a black hole here in Langlois OR and paying for two years worth of NOTHING. ATT said I could change the phone within 30 days but must drive 4 hours to Eugene just to get to a Cingular / ATT store. That's just peachy.

Though Dallas zip code, we live in Salt Creek area and the reception sucks bigtime ! SOMETIMES we get a signal but zero bars. Have tried Verizon and Sprint for last 10 years with almost no difference. Don't want to lock into plan that doesn't work out here. Anybody know a company / phone that has reception in this area ? It's basically at the foothills as you approach the coast range. Mumble mumble mumble... .
