The Rogue Valley is a large, flat plain surrounded by hills. Sprint works great on the valley floor (Medford, Central Point, Phoenix, Talent) but starts to crap out as you get up into the hills. Stear clear of Sprint unless you plan to stay on the valley floor. In my case, I'm on Old Stage Road, about three miles south of the town of Gold Hill. I'm only 5 miles from the middle of Central Point, but I get zero reception at my home.

If you see someone wondering around yelling at their phone. and yours works stop and let them know what service and phone you have. I get so irritated when I pay good money for bad sevice. Im new to the boring / sandy area but I still expect service or cancelation without the fee.

Sometimes I get a call, but the conversation is spotty and garbled and often drops. I'm at the top of the sylvan hill, right next door to the Sunset Highway, on West Slope Drive. DEAD SPOT!

Hwy. 97 Milepost 11 - Milepost 40, Moro, OR 97039 |
Tue Feb 14, 2006 |
There is no reception using Cingular or US Cellular on Hwy. 97 milepost 11 - Hwy. 97 milepost 40. If you do get cell service it sucks. No towers in Sherman County. Hwy. 97 is highly used and on company has even looked at it yet. Moro and Grass Vally have no reception. Maybe someday.

Beaverton / Wilson Ave. intersection, Beaverton, OR 97008 |
Mon Jan 16, 2006 |
This phone can lose a signal if sitting in the same location. In my home office (split level) when I'm in my basement corner office I only get reception about 50% of the time. When I do get reception it's low quality. There is a dead spot on Wilson Ave. No reception inside concrete buildings, Lloyd Center lower level and mid level.
