I-80 / 2 Miles Before Barkeyville Interchange intersection, Harrisville, PA 16038
Fri May 25, 2007
Two miles before the Barkeyville Interchange on I-80 there is no service and the call drops just as you pass the signs saying Barkeyville / Butler exit coming up.
Anyone know if there is any reception on any carrier or phone at or near GreenWood Furnace State Park office or on Rag Holow Road, 1 mile off route 305?
Rt. 434 / McKean Valley Rd. intersection, Shohola, PA 18458

Absolutely no reception whatsoever! Phone says no service. I get a blip about 3 / 4 of a mile up the road toward Greeley but then no signal until Route 6. Even then, signal goes in an out with the hills and valleys. What cell service works in this area????
No one can get cell service here, Huge airport, top of the mountain near Black moshannon state park!
Cellular One 0 Out of 5
Abraxus 1 / Dead Man Corners Rd. intersection, Marienville, PA 16239
Tue May 08, 2007
The reception in the forest is horrible, where you really need it. If you break down there are no telephones or houses you can run to. A lot of employees of Abraxus travel this road as well as clients and their families. The service is really bad. It is also bad on most of the other roads here in Forest County. Don't go with Cingular / ATT either. They roam on Cellular One in Forest County so your out of luck!

Cellular One's service is simply crap throughout the park!
Cellular One 0 Out of 5
Rt. 28 / Seldom Seen Rd. intersection, Brookville, PA 15825
Wed Apr 25, 2007
Just outside of Brookville, service goes out near Seldom Seen Rd.on Rt 28. Cellular One service is actually pretty bad anywhere in Jefferson County. A tower was placed in Brookville a short while ago, but the tower is only about 20 feet off the ground in the lowest part of town, so it only helps in a very small area. Cingular has very good coverage in Brookville, but for some odd reason, they are not allowed to sell service to Brookville residents.
I don't have any reception. I always have dropped calls. Sprint was called, and we stayed on the line with them for 68 hours. A support rep. explained that they could not find any Sprint towers in the area for coverage, and would note this in the case notes. We talked to a manager, who insisted otherwise! Funny thing is, if you look on the maps, this contradicts the manager's biased reply! Yes, there are towers. Yes, there is coverage, but it is LIMITED, depending upon one's location in the 17701 Zip Code. The manager conveniently left out the important word, LIMITED!
