Cook's Forest State Park / State Route 36 Area intersection, Cooksburg, PA 16217 Sun Apr 23, 2006

I thought I would take a fishing trip along the Clarion in Cook's Forest. Absolutely no signal anywhere in Cook's Forest. I am on call for emergencies, so a cell phone is essential. Lucky I found an electronics shop that rented me a beeper. Cellular One doesn't even have coverage on the mountain tops. My son and I climbed to the top of the fire tower and there was no signal there. What happened to "Get the Signal?" Isn't that Cellular One's motto? Cellular One claims to be the #1 rural provider. That is certainly a lie.

Center of Town, Sigel, PA 15860 Sun Apr 23, 2006

Geez, I thought Verizon's signal was horrible in Sigel with only one bar. Well, Cellular One has NO SIGNAL at all. At least with Verizon you can hold a Signal from I-80 until Sigel, then it drops. Cellular One only carriers about 2 miles north of I-80 then their signal drops, not even coming close to Sigel.

Service is horrible at the country club (Stone Wall). If you golf a lot, leave your cell at home, or don't golf.

State Route 28 / At the CoGo's intersection, Templeton, PA 16259 Sun Apr 23, 2006

Reception on State Route 28 from Kittanning to New Bethlehem is useless. Cellular One needs to put up coverage on this heavy traveled route. State Route 28 between these two areas may be somewhat rural, but this is a main route for both cars and trucks traveling from Pittsburgh to Interstate 80.

I-80, Philipsburg, PA 16866 Sun Apr 23, 2006

Very poor reception along Interstate 80 around Phillipsburg interchange, before and after. Almost a ten minute drive in this area without coverage, then it comes on briefly, then goes back out at Snow Shoe for about another 5 minutes. I've experienced many drop outs along I-80, but this is the biggest hole I've seen.

Rt. 16, Mercersburg, PA 17236 Mon Apr 17, 2006

Nextel is the worst in this area. They have some major issues. Their service is marginal in many areas of downtown Washington DC and Baltimore also. Many dropped calls and direct connect is a joke.
