Absolutely useless phone at home in this area. And the local Sprint store for service bites. I had a phone under warranty and it stopped charging, and the store said the phone was fine. And after 3 visits to the store, they said it was broken... but oops, your warranty expired last week. So we will give you a credit for a new phone but only if you renew your service contract for 2 YEARS... adios Sprint and your crappy service. I am hopeful that Verizon or Cingular will be better. Can't be worse.
My reception starts crapping out at the beginning of Fisher rd. but I have reception until the bottom of Dean Dam hill, then your guess is as good as mine if you can keep it or not. Sometime's I get a bar after there, mostly not. This phone and area suck as far as cellular stuff is concerned!

As long as I have had Nextel, I have never been able to go to Mt. Airy as well as ghetto Cheltenham Mall and have service. This is stupid considering all of the vendors within the mall that are Nextel dealers. If you reside in Mt. Airy, don't even think about subscribing to Nextel, period.
It is rare that you would ever get reception in Center City with Nextel, which in my personal opinion is dumb considering that downtown Philadelphia has the highest cellphone usage in the City. Nextel needs to fix this problem... immediately!
For as long as I could remember we have never had any service out here, I would love to be able to use my cell phone at my house. I've tried calling and calling and never get results. Thanks for nothing!
I've had delivery guys call me with their phone from Shickshinny using other services than AT&T. I have the Nokia 2260 non-GSM service and have no reception. Even from the Garden Drive-in, I barely can get a bar of reception. I found AT&T to be good where everyone is good, and pitifully poor and unpredictable elsewhere.
