We can at times get one bar if you lie the phone on the corner of the kitchen counter and put on speaker. Other wise you have to go to the back yard and stand on the hill and hope. My daughter has the cheap Motorola pay as you "go" phone and gets reception.
I don't know if it is worth having a cell phone. You have to drive at least three miles to be able to get a signal. Don't head south on route 36 from here you have to drive about 6 miles to get a signal. If your lucky you can get enough of a signal late at night to send a text. Maybe someday we will have enough towers in this area to make it worth having a cell phone- maybe by the time my Grandchildren are adults and I'm dead and in my grave.
Just bought the phone, and thank goodness for the 30 day trial period. We are in a roaming zone! Too bad they don't have a map of where the towers don't work. Actually, it's like the salesman said... . if there are more cows than people, forget it!
