this phone is junk for reception. this area may get 1 bar on any other phone. anything past tyler curve on RT 255 N is a dead zone. tower needed badly. who wants to come to the PA wilds and not have ANY phone service?

Reception is non existent, on a rare occasion I will show one bar but if a call is attempted it drops. Other people with other carriers can get two bars in my living room, come on Verizon get on the ball.

When Nextel was a private company before Sprint bought them they were good. Now Sprint is back to it's old ethic's which put them in the crapper in the 90's fatten our accounts and get all the comissions you can. Customer service is a waste of time, they lie, hangup on you,change your account without authorazation which they changed our's five times and are very arrogant when you try to explain your problem and if you get someone nice and the problem is to hard for them they hang up. Oh really watch out for the one's who say they don't have an id#, you know every has to have one. I've had Nextel phones for 10 years and I wouldn't recomend this company to anyone. I've heard more fabricated lies from them in the last two years than I heard from all the people who used to work for me and I've been in buisness for over twenty some years. I hope this might give some people the heads up and help them from having another problem that could be avoided.

I use the "StraightTalk" service, which I've been told by the company uses Verizon's towers. I get absolutely no reception anywhere in the Milford / Shohola / Honesdale area, or anywhere in between. I can't even make or receive text messages until I get close to the Scranton area. I contacted the company about the issue via email, and they assured me that I am completely covered, while I stare at my phone's little red 'no signal' sign. They said I would have to have a phone with a "SIM" card, but I don't know if that's the issue or not.

Verizon must have cancelled access to the nearest cell tower which can be seen less than a mile away. DO NOT buy Verizon if you want cell reception anywhere in northern york county

From a 1 - poor to 0 - no reception / useless

Horrible service. For all the advertising on TV, they should improve their towers. Expensive cell coverage and hate the "no service".

Had Sprint no reception got Nextel no reception lets get some towers in the mountains,people do live thier and they even talk on cell phones
