Reception for Verizon service is extremely poor at my house. I receive no service 99.9% of the time.

There used to be very poor reception here (1 bar on my phone) but now its down to zero bars and when people call me my phone goes right to voicemail. T-Mobile's suggestion to me was that I should stand outside since the coverage in this area was only "fair". Sadly, I can't stand outside 24 / 7.

Switched from Verizon which had excellent coverage. Now getting nothing with AT&T. Service rep says I'm "registering with a partner tower." I submitted a "Network Quality Complaint" with customer service. I hope they'll investigate.

Have had Cingular for years with perfect reception. As of July 23, reception has gone from great to absolutley awful. Every call gets dropped - usually after about 30 seconds. Watching the bars on my phone is like watching a roller coaster! Have spent approximately 8 hours on the phone with awful Customer Service Reps. Tried to blame it on the phone (all three phones on my contract, different models, have the same problem). Sent us all "updates" which didn't work (I had a brand new phone, husbands was only 6 mos. old). Anyone who comes into this area (approximately a 5-10 mile radius) with AT&T service has the same problem. Technicians said they fixed the problem; however, there was no change to my lack of service. Refused to initiate another service report. I've had it! We no longer have a land line (use satellite for TV and internet), so we need phone service. Switched to T-Mobile and all is well again. Now I need to fight with AT&T about the $175 they want to charge me for cancelling a contract with the new "AT&T" that no longer provides me a signal so I can use my phone! What a mess...

I switched from T-Mobile which has really great service on the island. AT&T drops calls everywhere and I get no service at my house.

T-mobile has the worse reception of any carrier. I have very little to no reception near my home in western Cranston and very spotty coverage on 95 south of Warwick. Do not waste your money on T-Mobile.

Nextel has the worst reception and is the most expensive service in this area. I have also used T-Mobile and Sprint, both are almost as pathetic. I use Cingular now with a Motorola v551j and I couldn't be happier, I think I have had 1 dropped call in 5 mos. And best of all I get FULL signal at home, something that all the other providers failed to provide. Granted, Sprint has come a long way in the years since I have used them, but then again they are paired with NEXTEL now so I would still avoid them. I have not tried VERIZON because the phones they offer suck or they are expensive, Cingular gives you a great phone for free!
