2 miles south east as the crow flies is Rockville SC, where Maybank HIGHWAY ( SC 700) ends, and at Cherry Point landing there are 5 bars. This is from the tower on Seabrook Is.
I can not use my phone at all on two portions of Willis Rd.and at my home address on Willis road. At my home address, I have to go outside to use my cell phone and stand in one spot in the yard to get one bar of signal strength.

No reception, even with high gain external antenna mounted on rooftop -- which makes me wonder if the tower at 1117 Back Swamp Rd. is actually operational.
Sometimes it will and sometimes it won't, but most of the time the phone didn't pick up a PCS digital signal, and couldn't even roam on an analog carrier's network either. I travel 99% of the time for my job... from Greenville to Boone to Knoxville and as far east as Raleigh. Sprint PCS is the clearest sounding phone I've ever had, when it has signal (almost never). When you get off the interstates, you can count on not having any signal. Since I'm paying lots of money to roam onto Verizons relay network, I'm switching as soon as my contract's up to Verizon.
Alltel service is poor in Clover. My phone roams analog more than it's on it's own network. This is my second 8910 in 3 months. The first was replaced under warranty because it wouldn't get signal at all. Sprint PCS and AT&T was no better. I travel the east coast and I have to say that I would much rather have my Sprint service back than be locked into a 2 year agreement with Alltel.
Suncom Unplan doesn't work in rural areas. You go more than 2 miles off a major interstate and good luck! Their TDMA service is better than their new GSM service. Alltel and Verizon seems to be your best bet in the Campobello / Inman area.
