I just signed on with Cingular because I found out they have 3 NEW TOWERS along Hwy. 176 with the one in the middle at Poplar Hill Rd and Hwy. 176. I just recieved an email reply from Cingular support (and very fast response I must say!) confirming these towers are Cingular towers but that "Unfortunately, there is no estimated activation date for when these cellular towers will be activated." I know that the tower at Lebanon Quick Stop has just been completed so hopefully it won't be long. I'll be waiting... and will post again whenever the service is activated and as to what kind of reception I get.

Lucky to get 1 bar and if you try to make a call it comes up call failed. I've spoke to Cingular and they told me that they would send me a stronger signal (not sure how they would do that) but it did nothing. I called Cingular back and they told me the same thing again- still nothing. I told them that there advertisments on TV stated that they were "Raising the Bar" and it was a shame that I could not even get 1 bar. They told me that my area just had a weak signal. They did not care one way or the other. I told them that I was going to cancel my plan with them but they didn't seem be concerned.
since buying the treo I have little to no service, when AT&S and Cingular merged my NOkia 6820 was working pretty well so I upgraded to the Palm but have been very disappointed. Suncom appears to only work well with Nokia phones which don't have any of the better phone features like the palms and blackberry's. I will be looking into using Verizon which everyone tells me works great around Pebble Creek.
