This is outrageously pitiful. What? Are we a 3rd world country now??!? AT&T should be sued for false advertising. What good is it to have a smart phone that you can never use? What's worse is the hotel doesn't have Internet in a storm either. I'm here for training not for a vacation and need to either have cell or Internet.

Have been an ATT customer for years but recently moved to Ladys Island and found reception very spotty. Just movedto Dataw island yesterday and have nothing, no bars at all, inside or outside! Wondering if we'll have to switch service after all. We're wondering why ATT doesn't better serve this area and especially all the services at PI and MCAS

Had perfect Alltel service for over six years, and then Verizon took Alltel in a merger and now I have zero service! What is worse, Verizon doesn't care or doesn't know how to correct the problems. I have been dealing with this for almost a month. So after a month and talking to 18 people, I will change my service to another carrier today, and hope for the best. WISH ME LUCK!

Phone goes in and out from no bars Verizon to switch to extended network. Sprint has a tower on the island, but the Verizon signal is strong enogh to keep the roaming to switch to usable extended network, but not strong enough to make or receive a call. If the phone could be set to receive the extended network signal while on the island the phone would work great. But as is the phone is almost useless on Fripp and St. Helena islands. Verizon technical support said outdoor use only in zip code 29920, but it doesn't work any better outside.

Hilton Plantation reception is horrible and the board of directors are nearsighted. I can't believe that in 2011 I can't get a signal! Why Hargray was not allowed to service this area back in 1995 is beyond me. Poor planning!

I have not had any service on my mifi hot spot for about 4 weeks. Im in the bluffton / hardeeville sc area. I cannot get any answers from Verizon just lies. 3 hot spots and countless calls for help seem to do nothing. Verizons 4g network is crap!

Very little to no reception. 1 bar at best. I did not even attempt to make a call because it wouldn't even hold the signal long enough to do so.

To be the so-called "giant" of the industry, the rural coverage is terrible. Don't get Nextel if you plan on working or traveling away from major cities or interstates.
