No calls can be made with Cingular GSM on the Motorola V557. This is two major roads in the area and if you needed help in the remote areas good luck it will not be from Cingular phone service.
alltel stinks in this area. 30% dropped calls on our bill. they say we only dropped one call, but it was almost 90. I am better off paying early termination and switching. can't wait!

I use my Verizon phone on the drive to sioux falls every day but it is no good in Parker. CellularOne is great there. I heard Verizon was going to go on a tower west of town so I hope they do. Otherwise I have to switch.
On rare occassion I briefly got reception but it was only momentary. Works well just Parkston and north or about Tabor and East towards Yankton. Fantastic service in Yankton.
FREQUENT dropped calls, 4 times out of 5 end up with a message welcome to Verizan when trying to make a call. Called tech support told tower 7 miles away (shouldn't that distance provide adequate coverge?)
We have nextel, cellone, Verizon here but no sprint. I loved there service when I had them before I moved here. Sure wish they would get to Yankton and other parts of eastern South Dakota.
