I was getting 1 or 2 bars until Nov. now I have 0 reception in my house. I have to go for a drive in my car to use my cell phone, as soon as I get in my driveway, I begin to get static and drop droppin of words till I actually drop the call. This sucks!
ATT is just bad, before ATT bought out Cingular had better reception. Now nothing most of the time can't get a signal even if I go to the top of the ridge in a three acre field over looking everything. As most companies they don't care as long as you pay. Service does not matter any more it's how much money they can rip you off for.
Reception varies between 0 and 1 bar, and only because the RF path is reflected. There is no direct line of site to the only AT&T cell tower servicing this area. Have also tried Verizon and Nextel (Sprint) with equally poor results. Verizon appears to provide only a slight marginal improvement over the other carriers and overall provides poor coverage. I have repeatedly complained to AT&T customer support regarding the issue. Apparently this upper middle class neighborhood does not provide sufficient revenue to justify the capital expense to service.

No reception on Stoney Creek (Highway 91), even though I can see a cell tower a half mile away. Reception is great in town, but dwindles to 0 about 5 miles out of Elizabethton. Friends with Sprint service have no trouble. Service resumes again on the top of Cross Mountain as you leave Carter County and cross into Johnson County toward Shady Valley and Damascus.
I have no reception in Jacks Creek Bottom but someone is installing a new tower behind Jacks Creek School. Doe anyon know what carrier is installing it?
I have to drive 1 / 2 mile to Pickwick Rd. to receive reception on my cell phone. We must have a land line to have telephone service at our house. Cingular reception was poor but AT&T reception is worse. The merger did not help. I cannot use my cell phone inside my own house--no service.
My service is HORRIBLE with AT&T! All my coe workers and family say it too! Yesterday 13 coe workers switched to Verizon and have full service and 3G service too. My iPhone switches from 3G with 0-1 bar to EDGE with 2 bars. My calls always drop and data is slow. They have the Tour and there data is fast. Im moving my whole family to Verizon today. This is stuipd AT&T. Verizon here I come!
