Reception is terrible at Hacks cross and Poplar Pike

I drive I-24 to work every day. From I-24, Exit 35 in Joelton to Briley Parkway, Cingular drops me 3 times. Once it drops you (with no bars), then, it gives you full bars (of course, after you've lost your call). That is all interstate (with several towers around)and it's very aggrevating! I might expect that out on state route roads, way out of town, but not on a major interstate in a large city.

I would not recommend anyone in Oak Ridge getting Cingular or ATT. If there is an emergency you could foreget it. A Cingular rep called me and asked how the reception is and when I told her how bad it is and how good Ver. is at the High School her reaction was like too bad.

I received my phone and turned it on to find no reception at all. If I waited a couple minutes I would get one bar but it would disappear within 2 seconds. I am located only 7 miles south of Sparta but as I stated, no reception.

Bad, Bad, Bad. Sprint is by far the biggest joke I have ever seen. It's the trucker service, it only goes on the highways and major interstates. By the way, who would want Sprint towers where they live anyway?

This service is awful. Now I know why they will let people "Get More" Minutes on their plans instead of the big carriers. This service is sub-standard in their coverage needs of even the average consumer. If you go to knoxville TN, you have to use Cingular's network. Must tell someone that they probably need to switch to a real phone carrier.

I was lucky if I got one bar in the East knoxville / Kodak area VERY sucky service

I've had three different phones and I con never get Verizon reception on most of Signal Mtn. Very poor service. When are they going to get a cell tower up there on top of the mountain.

Why is there no reception around the lake area. Verizon has better than good receiption.
