I bought my iphone with a 30 day trial 1year ago. I had never had good cell service at my home but AT&T said I could try it out. It worked GREAT... ..until March / April of this year. Suddenly, no service! After a month of the phone ringing but not being able to answer a call because the signal was too weak, we called service. After several calls and sending techs out to check the signal strenght and so on, we are told that they had given up the tower in our area. Now it is leased to Verizon! It is Sept and I still don't have service and I am still paying every month for full service. It is wrong for AT&T to pull the plug on service they contracted with me to supply. That is their end of the bargain... they give me service I pay my bill. Now, I have the AT&T iphone exclusive to their service, can't change even if I wanted and no service, no compensation in my bill, nothing. Big corporation abusing the small guy once again

I get no reception in my house and can only make 911 calls. I have to walk outside, stand on the sidewalk, and raise one foot to get a bar.

We have had excellent service with AT&T for 2 years. Now, about 2 weeks ago, almost no reception. Where we were able to ues my phone all over the school campus last year, now we have found 1 spot on campus where we can get 1 bar (2 if we're lucky). Everyone we have talked to that also has AT&T is having the same problem. AT&T said they share cell towers with T-Mobile. I was in the store where a T-Mobile person had service and I (AT&T) did not. If they share the towers, shouldn't we both have service? AT&T says we are in a "moderate" service area. If it is MODERATE and there is almost NO service, - what would they call good or fair or excellent service? As of my hustbands last conversation with AT&T, they pretty much said that is just how it is. (They have yet to explain why the WAS service and now there is not!)

I have to say, I barely get any reception at all! When I am instant messaging on my cell phone, there's points where it will say "Unable to send message" and it was a very long one! It makes me mad to retype it onto my phone, and phone calls, don't get me started on that! I have to go walk outside to the dead intersection to get a few bars that stick with me, otherwise, inside the house, in front of my home, in the front or backyard, it will automatically drop and be choppy, and I get yelled at by my mother for "hanging up" on her, when it's actually my call that dropped! I am so unpleased by cell phone service in Azle, if it was not a neccessity, I would not have it.

Outside Quitman, Quitman, TX 75783 Sat Aug 08, 2009

I moved to Quitman about a year ago. My phone is almost useless. I have a couple spots that I can have phone service or send / receive text messages, but can almost never get multimedia messages. I town it works pretty good, but I'm not usually in town so I'm thinking of switching to Alltel

I was told this is a Roaming area... Off to Verizon I go. My friend just switch to Verizon and said it picks up better then his Alltel phone did.

AT&T is a joke. I wouldn't even waste my time trying them out. Just switched to Verizon and love it.

I would always get dropped calls and unreliable service with AT&T. I switch all my lines (5) over to Verizon. The 3G service is faster too.
