Quinlan Park and Lake Austin, Austin, TX 78732 Sun Jul 16, 2006

Since moving onto the shores of Lake Austin 4 years ago, I have watched Steiner Ranch quadruple in size, all of my neighbors homes are are multi million dollar homes and they are building new neighborhoods on both sides of Quinlan Park road like crazy. You would think that at least one of the carriers would recognize the potential to get all the cell phone business in this area. We have had side by side comparisons of every provider during parties at my house. Not one of the carriers is capable of providing a strong enough signal to make a call. The most we could get is one bar with Cingular but the call drops within seconds. I contacted Sprint and informed them of the growth out here but they don't seem to care. I am forced to rely on lanlines only.

Outside on patio it is OK, not good just OK. Inside, most of the time it is searching for a signal. Two spots in the house will give marginal reception but still drops calls quite often. Neighbor has Cingular but gets about the same coverage. Sprint customer service people have always been good to deal with, but they admit my area is very weak. Two blocks either way and it seems ok.

Cingular Sucks do not get this service. Reception was much better with ATT. Now I know why there is a Class Action lawsuit filed by former ATT customers.

All 1900 frequence
No Reception Inside Buildings, San Antonio, TX 78230 Fri Jul 07, 2006

I have used a 1900 frequence phone since June,2005 without any problems, but now it drop calls or no reception at all inside the buildings. It happened on June 2006. I though my phone had a problems, so I used difference 1900 frequence phones to test it. No luck at all. So I used 850 frequence phone, it has full reception. I can conclude that Cingular will only support 850 frequence mostly. The 1900 frequence will only work outside area such as Hwy. area. If you have 1900 frequence phone, don't use Cingular service otherwise you will be regret. Trust me!

You don't get any reception inside buildings (schools, houses with attics, clubs, etc.) And I don't think it's just the RiVerSide area, but the whole city of Fort Worth.
