When we moved to the area I changed my number to reflect the new area code. Service tanked. None to be found unless I drove to Stephenville or Gatesville. Both towns over 30 miles away. Even when I changed plans so I could roam for free service was horrid. Cingular service also wacky as well, but at least they roam in town, not once you hit the highways outside of town. Dead zone for the next 30 miles any direction.

Must go 1 / 2 mile to get reception even if phone shows two bars. Very broken up or drops calls. Works good in other areas. Need a better tower distribution in Lufkin Texas Very Poor

Dead Zone area for the residents of this area. Creates a danger for those doing field work on a farm. If an accident occurs, there is no easy way to reach help.

Neither my wife (TDMA) nor I (GSM) get any reception from Cingular in or near our home. The 6820 has a strong radio, but doesn't pick up a signal that isn't there.

I bought a Cricket phone for my son 2 days ago. Since he has had this phone, he has NOT been able to talk on it. Everywhere we go either you can't make a call or the call drops. I highly recommend everyone not to buy a Cricket phone.
