I'm used to perfect cell phone reception coming from New York City. It drives me insane that there is no cell phone reception indoors in Missouri City. I can also be standing outside on my driveway and get No Service. Occasionally my cell phone screen goes to "black" in response to No Service. I've been trying to get Verizon to place a tower on my property to no avail. I really hate that company right now. They said they won't put a tower up unless a lot of people use it. Funny, because with service like that, who would want to continue or even sign up? Losers.

When there is reception, the calls are frequently dropped. Reception in our home is spotty, at best.

This square in the SW corner of Int 30 and 820 has yielded no signal or one bar since moving summer 03. Called and was told a new tower was going up at Meadowbrook and 820 in summer of '04. If this happened, it hasn't made any change to reception. Wondering if it has something to do with big Channel 11 tv tower. But, Cingular and Verizon reception is fine, you get multiple bars all day long. I need to call again but it's such a whip to file a ticket and go through the motions. Really is not right to pay for 2000 min a month that we can't use at home and we are stuck in the contract.

Switched to Cingular and found it to be the absolute worst carrier I've had in 7 years. Constant dropped calls, echoes / poor reception, missed calls, inability to dial out. Phone was replaced, but not without much haggling and speaking with over a dozen people at various levels within Cingular. Reception is still a mess, yet Cingular only dodges the issue at this point and won't admit to dead spots in this area. ATT&T / Nokia TDMA was flawless, and as near to a land line over cellular as I've seen... What a mistake it was to switch!
