No reception in houses, when you get a bar you can't place a call no matter if you have 1 bar or 5.

I had T-Mobile phone service when I was living in Killeen and working in Gatesville--phone worked just fine in Killeen and Copperas Cove but cut off every time I was in Gatesville? What good is a phone that gets reception at home but not at work? T-Mobile kept telling me that they were putting up a tower in Gatesville and I'd have service by the next quarter, but I waited over 6 months and it never happened...

The signal strength in Horizon City is horrible. Horizon City is about 2 miles out of the El Paso city limit. 2 miles north of I-10 on Horizon Blvd., it'll die, and 3 miles north of I-10 on Eastlike, it'll die. If you live in Horizon City, north, or east of it, don't get AT&T. At my home I have 1 bar or nothing.

For the past several months, when I pick up my daughter from school, as soon as I drive to the back of the school - no reception. The bars drop and will not come back until I get a block or so away from the school. I can't receive or make a call. Also, there are other places in The Colony, TX and Denton, TX where our calls drop constantly. I've dialed *228 and chose option #2 with my Verizon Wireless service (it is supposed to automatically update the coverage areas to your phone). We'll see how this works. Our family has 3 phones with Verizon, and all 3 drop calls! I had AT&T a few years ago and couldn't even use those phones in the house -- no signal.

I haven't had many problems with Sprint in Austin until now, but the signal coverage at the house we just moved to is absolutely abysmal. We can't really make any calls from within our house, we don't receive notification of voicemails or other messages, and even if we move outside, the signal only improves marginally with calls getting dropped probably half the time. Of course when I call Sprint they say they will set up a ticket with their network troubleshooters, but other than that, there's nothing they suggest to improve things.
