December 2003: Stayed at Centennial Courts apartments, just 1 block south of UTA campus. Horrible. Granted, I was on the first floor, but I had to go out into the parking lot and reboot my phone in order to get one bar of signal. AT&T Customer Service was somewhat helpful, but all they could really tell me was that GSM was the new upcoming cure - all technology and to wait six months for service to improve. I don't know how it is now, but I have switched to Cingular and am much more pleased.

AT&T service is horrible on downtown houston. I pay ove $100 per month for AT&T's one rate plan - service anywhere and everywhere - what a joke - I can't make or receiver a call in downtown Houston.

Absolutely no reception... I have been a GSM customer for 2 years, because they told me that when I first signed up, the network would be all around Texas in a year. Nothing changes. The further into Plano I go, the worse the signal. Even near uptown Dallas, signal fluctuates, and I pick up more background noise on my end than the person's voice on the other side.

We've got 4 T-mobile SIMs and different phones (Nokia, Samsung, and some unlocked Asian Panasonics). We got the kids phones so that they can contact us for pick-up from their after school activities. Needless to say, they've got to track down pay phones. I've been in the school parking lot and have been unable to get a signal. This is not a recent issue. It's been an issue for over a year.

I cannot have a conversation anywhere on Parmer Lane! Given that it is such a busy street these days, seems ridiculous.

I just can't have a conversation when traveling through Oak Hill! Forget it! The fact that T-Mobile has no analog fall back makes it impossible.
