Had good service. Just found out that Cingular ("the new AT&T") let their contract on the East Texas towers (owned by Cellular One) elapse and now there is no coverage in 8 counties in East Texas and there will not be any for at least another year or more. Cigular is letting people out of their contracts. This is the 2nd time "AT&T" has dumped on me. First time, they broke up my family plan.

i am very dissapointed with the service these guys provide, especially when I look on their website and my area is "covered" in a big orange blob of "coverage" this is crap! they want to continue taking our money but they do not want to give us anything more than piss poor performance! if u are deciding to go with AT&T I beg u to reconsider..dont make the same mistake I did

I get no reception in my house and can only make 911 calls. I have to walk outside, stand on the sidewalk, and raise one foot to get a bar.

In Aug, 2007, I checked the coverage from Little Rock (where I live) to Henderson (where I visit) before moving to T-Mobile - the coverage was outstanding so I switched. By both Thanksgiving and Christmas when I visited Henderson, the coverage around College and S. Marshall streets was nonexhistent! I reported it to T-Mobile - they wrote a "trouble ticket" and said they would email me the results but, as of December 29, 2007, I have had no response from T-Mobile and the sevice is still very poor to none around that location.

The new Cingular slogan is very fitting... ..(... ... ... .*More Bars in more places*)... yep. Those *Bars* are up customers rear ends and broke off.

Cingular "claims" its putting up 2 towers in this area. One is somewhere on 79 and don't know where other is. Cellular One is who they share towers with and spoke with them. They state Cingular didn't want to pay roaming fees on these towers and let them go. They expect payment on bills, I expect them to keep service going. Offered to let out of contract but how can they do this legally. Isn't that "breach of contract" on their end? Its forcing people out.

Dropped calls, no service, customer service is unhelpful. Since the Alltel takeover customer service, prices, and reception have all gotten worse. I get sporadic texts and voice mail. I don't usually have missed calls listed when I get the voice mails. Most people don't leave a message, so there is no telling how many calls are not being received. I can stand right beside the Verizon store and watch my bars go up and down. One time I was not even able to make a call.

Industrial / Hwy. 259 intersection, Lone Star, TX 75668 Wed Dec 28, 2005

Lone Star is generally a dead area. With Cingular service, a quarter-mile area just south of the city limits, including the 259 bridge offers 3 bars, however, the remainder of the town is generally a dead zone.
