T-mobile is useless once you head east out of Troy, NY towards and into Vermont. No reception at all. (to be fair, their web site shows no coverage in this area). Skiers beware! T-Mobile is big in NYC and NJ but useless out here (well maybe on top of a chair lift).

Currently, Cingular does not have GSM service in Vermont. SBC map shows coverage in Vermont, Cincular's GSM map doesn't show any coverage. Careful being lured by "no roaming charges" BECAUSE YOU PROBABLY CAN'T ROAM.
