I get no service, no coverage, no bars for AT&T at my house, and only 1 bar for Verizon.

Breaking News: Parents foul up iPhone! I guess it wasn't meant to be. My near 80 yo parents are on my family plan. Couldn't wait to switch from Verizon to AT&T after the contract expired, but, alas, not a lick of reception inside parent's house. No where. Checked every room, upstairs and down. Had to go out into street to get a weak 1-2 bars. Still stuck with Verizon and my "not-quite-an-iPhone" LG Dare:-( Great network, great reception almost anywhere, but greedy, nickel-and-dime-you-to-death policies - like crippled bluetooth, blocked ringtones, etc. Bottom line: Don't leave parents out in the cold - even for an iPhone.

I get no reception in Lovingston. Actually I get no reception beginning from 11 miles past Charlottesville and I finally regain service in Madison Heights. It is terribly dangerous and I wish I knew how to get companies like T-Mobile and AT&T to expand their reception areas

My phone never gets any reception and it doesn't look like Verizon is going to do anything about it. I thought it was only Verizon that had reception problems however, it seems like everyone is affected from it. It's just pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

T-mobile. Great everywhere else but home. Never a reception in home. In yard, I can receive but can't call out without getting an "Emergency Calls Only" message or a "No Network" messages. Multiple redials eventually gets a call out (are they using someone else's tower?). Once I get the call it is good and holds as long as I don't go inside. (This is over a period of a months use before cancelling) AT&T. Reception in yard fine. Reception in home tolerable. *Generally* reception in home works with two important stipulations. First, I am not deep in the house. Second, bad weather and night-time compromise indoor use. During the day in good weather I can get good reception almost all over the house. I have even quickly run through the deeper parts of the house to get other parts and won't lose the signal, the audio with just get choppy momentarily until I get to more well windowed and doored parts of the house. At night I need be in well windowed and doored areas. When it rans I have to stand at the window or door. Often at night or bad weather, I will just leave my cell at a window with the ringer on max and use the phone like a land line. (This is over a period of a years use, before the plan ran out and I decided not to renew and to experiment with other companies, the T-Mobile experiment clearly favored AT&T though) Tough area for cells. I have neighbors I can see pace in their yards as they talk on their cells (you have to go outside for strong reception).

I don't know why I waste my time with this company. I get zero bars everywhere in my house except for upstairs. Upstairs I get two max, and I may have one or two on the middle floor if I stand next to a window for a couple minutes. But for the most part I cannot receive or dial calls within my home. Which also means sending a text message is at the door as well. Montclair has little to no reception with AT&T / Cingular, so if you ever plan on using a cell phone on this network, I hope you choose to live somewhere else.

I think Verizon belives the 460 highway stop after Farmville and starts again in Lynchburg I live middle of the two and I see 11 towers between the two but none a Verizon so I will let my service run in the fall of 2008 and I go to another carrier
