Absolutely no reception in Great Falls / West Sterling area. Terrible. No Service or occasional 1 bar and gauranteed dropped call. Cingular refused to do anything. I had to cancel my contract.

Alexandria area, Cingular GSM service is poor and actually getting worse each month. Are they dismantling this network? On 295, almost everywhere, you can count on dropped calls every time you are driving anywhere.

reception in town and in nearby wealthy subdivisions and in adjacent areas of the Chesapeake Bay varies from poor to none. The lack of service in the Eastern lower bay is a safety issue for boaters. Other cell providers are said to have similar poor to vero reception.

Rt. 615 / 522 / 3 / 15, Orange, VA 22960 Mon Jul 31, 2006

I would like to find a cell phone that works on Route 615; travel that road all the time and b / f works there. We can never get a call out on Route 615 from Orange up to Route 29. We got these phones to use in emergencies, but they don't work where we need them. Verizon supposedly has the best network in this area. Also, Route 15 between Orange and Gordonsville is another dead zone. Any suggestions as to what phone or carrier will work in this critical area?? My Verizon contract is up and I want to get a phone that works this time.

River Shore Rd. / Twin Pines intersection, Portsmouth, VA 23703 Fri Jul 21, 2006

I have never been able to receive a signal at my house here or anywhere near it. I also lived in the Riverfront and had very poor reception if any. However, one week after Hurricane Katrina, I sat on the beach of Bay St. Louis, MS and had five bars. How is it that I can't get a signal at my place where I buy the service but can get it easy at an area that was hit by a major hurricane? Cannot understand that at all!
