Absolutely NO reception in the apartment, 1 - 2 bars outside. If someone manages to reach me by chance, the reception is so bad that I have to call back via Vonage. T-Mobile reception in CA with the same phone(s) was flawless, we recently moved to VA. Using a Motorola for the second phone, same problem, works only in DC.

Signal is pitiful at Petersburg High School, even outside. Usually, there is no signal. Even when there is a signal, it is weak. My work Nextel had full bars, except when inside. Cingular needs to raise the bar in Va.

Mount Weather, Battle Mountain, FEMA Command. Forget it, leave your cell phone at home. They clearly don't believe people living or visiting near here have emergencies and apparantly allow no cell towers nearby. No Service is the most common icon when travelling the miles from Rt. 7 to US 50 on 601. Once in every few days for a few minutes one might see a single bar.

Have old Motorola tri mode CDMA 1X (about 2 yrs old). Got an upgraded phone with 2 yr renewal-motorola V325 and get no reception. No reception from Creedmoor, Butner, Oxford. Got upgrade on-line via Verizon wireless. Worked with tech support on line. Sent me to Brier Creek Verizon wireless in Raleigh-Durham area. They did not want to help me and told me to call back on-line? Not sure what service to use?

Cingular absolutely has NO SERVICE in the Great Falls Area. Up and Down Algonkian Rd. is spotty at best. DO NOT use Cingular in or around Great Falls. You'll have better luck with two cans and a string.

Reception in blacksburg is garbage compared to VZW. I tried out the RAZR when to get a GSM phone instead of CDMA, and the service kept cutting off if I moved. In my APT. I had no service. I had to go outside and find a spot where I could get coverage.
