Downtown and Surrounding Area, Onancock, VA 23417 Sun Jun 07, 2009

I just traveled around the entire area of Onancock, VA, for a week. There is NO coverage for T-Mobile phone service, (either voice or Blackberry data), except around the Chincoteague - Assateague State Park beach, which must be getting a signal from the north, across the water. I again picked up coverage at the very south end of the peninsula near Kiptopeke - again probably from across the water. There is no coverage along that entire stretch of land. The T-Mobile website coverage map says they do. They do not have any. My colleagues had AT&T phones and Verizon phones, and they worked 99% of the time. The Verizon phone seemed better.

Irvington Rd. / King Carter Dr. intersection, Irvington, VA 22480 Sat May 16, 2009

No AT&T coverage in Irvington, VA which is a major vacation and second home destination for DC, Northern VA, and Richmond residents not to mention home to the Tides Inn Resort where business and vacation travelers come. No reception in nearby towns either. There are many many telecommuter residents in this area known as the Northern Neck of VA as well.

Rt. 33 / New Kent Hwy. To Gloucester County Area intersection, West Point, VA 23181 Fri Apr 17, 2009

Coverage goes dead along Route 33 from New Kent Hwy, almost until you reach Gloucester. This is poor since Suncom has been gone for a long time now. West Point is a growing town and AT&T has absolutely no coverage. The Northern Neck is a major vacation spot for water lovers. You have Urbanna, White Stone, and Gloucester Point near this area.

Cherry St.& Rt3, King George, VA 22485 Tue Apr 07, 2009

Sprint / Nextel is the worst. I have direct connect and can't even use that in this area. No texting, calling in or out, and no 2 way. Once I get home there is no sort of communication with the outside world unless I go up to the Food Lion.
