If I wasn't on a two year contract with AT&T, I would switch in a second. I get absolutely no service inside the Jamestown buildings, or Swem, or many of the others. I used to get very little service inside my dorm in other buildings, though, not nothing at all. And when I called AT&T's customer service to tell them it's terrible on campus, all they said was "it's labeled as 'good service'". I told them I was standing right in the middle of it, and it definitely isn't good service, but my call was dropped and I didn't get a call back. I'm very frustrated with them at the moment, I mean honestly... why do other providers get service inside this building, and only AT&T has problems?

My employer has corporate cell service through T-mobile, so I knew beforehand that their coverage is spotty the further you get from I-81 and I-64, but this is pretty lame. With AT&T I could at least pick up a signal while standing in my driveway (about a mile north of Sherando Grocery), but with T-Mobile it's dead until you get within a half mile of I-64. Also, prospective iPhone buyers beware: AT&T's data service is terrible in Augusta county and they absolutely will not activate your iPhone without a data plan - even if it's an unsubsidized phone that you purchased at full retail price (hence the reason I'm a T-Mobile customer). Side note: the portable data card I have through Verizon works very well throughout Augusta / Nelson / Albemarle counties.

Cannot get any reception along long stretch of Genito Rd.from the Dorset Rd intersection to Mount Hermon Rd intersection in Chesterfield county.

If I walk 25 feet away from my house I get reception, otherwise it is 1 bar to none.

I get no reception at the area I live. At the top of the neighborhood I have one bar max, and at my house, none. Also off 29, I have no service throughout Ruckersville, or it comes and goes. It's really annoying because the only service that gets service where I live is US Cellular, but don't get that at where I live permanently.

Don't have any reception-If I do get anything I usually have to dial area code (Even for local calls)... Then it will more than likely get dropped.-Very very unhappy!

What is the matter with AT&T I can travel all over the world and get reception but can't travel to part of my own state and get it. I have to drive 30 mins out of my way to get something.

I just purchased two Iphones for my business and signed up for AT&T service. They work well over in TN but after I got home in Coeburn VA I have no service. I thought it would at least roam. I understand AT&T is purchasing the Verizon towers. I'm the media director for the County of Wise Virgina and need good data service and cell service. I also have an altel blackberry that I don't like at all. I would like to use the IPHONES very much as I am use to using MAC's in the TV station at the courthouse.
