I have very, very poor reception in this area. It's not just Sprint, but everyone who comes to my house has no service. I don't know if it's a interference issue or lack of towers, but either way it's not good.

We have No reception indoors, even by windows on upper levels. Somtimes we have one bar-- sporatic weak signal from outside. T-Mobile tells me that we are in what they consider "just outside the gray", iffy area, and though the reps would say with enough complaints and trouble shoot request they might improve the situation since 2002. Now in 2005, it's worse. Used to have one bar weak signal sometimes in 2002-3. Now it's a consistently no signal. Of the cell phone companies: AT&T had better reception than T-mobile, and Verizon, better than AT&T. But even Verizon wasn't always providing strong signal indoors. Of the phones we've used: Samsung s105 was the best, Sony Ericsson T610, then Motorola 663. Motorola V66 was the worst in signal strength.

Can't use GSM at all in most rural areas, yet can't get out of contract with company providing ONLY GSM service. Paying monthly for a useless phone for 1 1 / 2 more years, that's really not fair.

Coverage non-existent to extremely spotty along VA 198 and US 14 from Cobb's Creek through Hudgins, Mathews, Port Haywood and Susan. Weak but usable signals available at New Point Comfort and on west shore of Chesapeake Bay at Potato Neck, Onemo and Diggs. Same for AT&T (AMPS, TDMA and GSM) and for NEXTEL. Only known usable signals in described area are Verizon and Sprint. Verizon drops out at some isolated points. Sprint has one small coverage hole near Williams.

Major Fitness Gym and large mall - While at the gym, I cannot make or receive calls and yet others are talking on their phones. Really frustrating as I do a lot of my shopping in this area. Calls drop if I even drive by the area. Please Verizon, fix this!

to the Scotchtown poster... .it doesn't matter about your phone... if there is no tower within about 8 miles... .there is no reception. i've had people with a half dozen different carriers and phones tell me to try theirs, but if the signal doesn't go far enough, there is no point in switching. we just flat need more towers out here with the growth that is happening!
