Had US Cellular for years, no service here. Had AT and T for a year now, no service. No hope of making or receiving a phone call within about 5 miles in ANY direction. Same thing for ALL other carriers as well. Have heard its because of signal bleed across a county line just 2 miles south of here.

Never have reception in my house at all. Always get the dial tone or dropped call tone inside my house. Have to walk all the way outside to my mailbox to get even decent service.

Horrible to non-existant AT&T reception in my house. If I'm lucky and I go outside and stand in my driveway, sometimes I get 1 bar, enough to make a quick call. Totally unacceptable! I work from home and am constantly missing calls. I also teach at Lynchburg College and the entire campus is a dead zone for AT&T - NO service at all. I'm getting out of this contract a.s.a.p.

T-mobile certainly is not improving their service here, Appomattox or in the esmont area

The coverage map ius a joke! Nothing works here no matter what! I've tried U.S. Cellular, Alltel, Nextel and Verizon and none of them works here. I wonder when these jokers will update their coverage maps and stop claiming that they have coverage here. I would say that if any of these companies has guts to say that there's coverage, then I could say that the Earth is flat too!

ATT wireless phone service remains very poor or non functional in the Irvington, VA area. An ATT tower is desperately needed. Requests to ATT to improve reception are ignored or rebuffed. Verizon wireless reception is far superior in the 22480 area.

No reception at all in Southwest VA once you leave Gate City on T-Mobile.

we had altell never had any trouble, even after they switch / merged or what ever Verizon did we still had good service untill three weeks ago. Now we have no service on none of the 3 phones we have. we have had service for the last 5 or 6 years inside and outside of my house and now they are trying to tell us it is the terain. Let me ask you this how did the terain change all at one time this was not a gradule thing that happened over time this was all at once. they say there is nothing they can do about. Guess what verizion you just lost another customer! By the way my son was texting from inside our house from the time he got up in the moring until he went to bed. The terain changed yea right sounds like some sorry people to damn sorry to figure out what the problem is, sure aint the terain if anything with all the logging going on around here ti ought to be getting better not worse!

Sucks big time! I was an Altell customer for years with no problems then got switched to Verizon. I went from good coverage in my home to zip point nothing coverage once Verizon took over. After many calls and store visits and new phones I was told I just had to live with it. After one rather long and heated phone call to Verison a supervisor made my voice mail disapear for two weeks before anyone could figure it out and get it back on line. Of course the name and employee number he gave me were false. I finally went with Sprint and haven't looked back much better plans, much cheaper, better service, billing that anyone can understand, and best of all a cell phone that works in my house again. This only cost me about an extra $550.00 for contract buyouts and new Verizon phones that Verizon said would solve my problems but didn't. For my money it's Sprint all the way.

no AT&T reception in Stoney Creek near Lake Monocan. Might get a bar or two when headed past Stoney Creek towards Wintergreen mountain. I can get reception on the top of Wintergreen at the resort.
