Before I bought the phone I checked with a sales person to make sure I will get reception in my area. He assured me that I will because there is a tower on Sedgwick. I tried calling from my car while driving from Wava to Hwy. 3 and did not get reception anywhere.
Forget about Verizon if you live here. Zero reception, constantly searching for network. Cingular is the popular option, but realistically isn't much better.

On a good day I may get one that stays for a while or two, albeit momentarily. Even if I go and stand outside away from the powerlines, I usually drop a call within 10 minutes. ARGH!

Had Cingular before and reception was great. Can't get a signal with T-Mobile. My wife switched us to T-Mobile and I missed the cancelation period thus was stuck with not being able to get a signal at home for a whole year! Called T-Mobile numerous times and they refused to waive cancelation fees. Recommendation: don't use T-Mobile, the signal is too weak in most areas especially with hills and the staff is inconsiderate.

If you live north of 305 off hwy 3 forget about Verizon. No signal to very poor signal all the way to the hood canal bridge. Cingular seems the way to go. A road that millions of people travel to get to the Olympic park and you get no signal for 10 miles, way to go verizon, still looking for the network. Where are they?
I had service with Nextel for several years and began having problems( no service) 3 wks ago. Nextel insists that it's an equipment problem though my phone did work for 4 days after I had complained to Nextel ( after 2wks of the intermittent "no service" problem). Called a 2nd time after the brief 4 day period when the phone worked and was basically told to buy a new phone. Am not certain that will help. Don't feel that Nextel much cares but will have my phone checked.
