I think all cell providers need to increase the reception and towers in the Mercer / McDowell / Wyoming and Monroe County areas. We all pay the fees for the service in the entire area but are limited in use of the phone. Maybe discounted unavailable options need to be addressed. I travel these areas daily and with elderly parents I need to have the coverage in case of emergencies while on the road.
Variable reception. The signals varies between 5 bars and 'no network coverage' in any spot on this tower coverage. Literally every call dropped. Very disappointing.
I noticed alot of people complaing about the cell phone service in southern WV near the Snowshoe Mountain area. There is a reason behind this and it is not the fault of the cell phone service carriers. When you are traveling in that area there is a dead space in cell phone service due to the Greenbank National Observatory. Cell phones interfer with the satalite dishes and the transmittion there so the gov't put a ban on cell phone service in that area. Just a heads up to those who are complaing about their carriers. There is nothing the carriers can do about this. This effects all cell phone carrier services.
NO reception in Greenwood, Wharton, James Creek, Bim, Cazy, Van, Bandytown, Twilight, There is no signal from Greenwood on RT 85 toward Madison untill you get to Uneeda and then 1-2 bars Nothing From Van - twilight, nothing from Van through prenter untill you get to Racine Then you still cain't make a call out. This is terrible. They need Some towers in these areas.

No reception in the Thomas downtown area. Had to go in to Davis and then it was weak, at best. Drove all over the mountains and service was constantly roaming or no service at all. Really disappointed, since reception coming across the country after 9 / 11, was excellent!
