his is one of many areas where Nextel get NO reception. I have had Nextel for almost 2 years and my contract is up and I am switching. If you are traveling in WV this is not a good service!
There is NO reception on any phone service that we know of in this area. You get off of route 60 and have full bars and 1 / 4 mile later you have none. I know they can get it out here because Armstrong has wireless internet out here. So come on sprint / vmobile get off your duffs and build a tower
Rt. 9, Near Virginia Line / Charlestown WV, Charles Town, WV 25414

No coverage on Route 9 for a 5-7 mile stretch.. it began just a few miles inside the Virginia line and continued for a few miles after crossing into WV. Once I reached the very top of the mountain, on route 9 (just inside thw WV line), my phone had coverage again.
I travel a lot from Pittsburgh to Chester, WV. I get absolutely no reception in the Hookstown, PA area. I read some the comments above, and other people seem to complain about that general area, Midland and Hookstown having very poor reception. I bought a new phone recently, the LG VX9800 (the V), it seems to help a little bit, compared to my old phone the LG VX3200. I am still on an Extended Network (Alltel) but I don't get charged for it though. Does anyone have an AT&T or Cingular phone with better reception? I don't know about GSM versus CDMA, Tri-Mode, or all Digital phone if it makes any difference.
