From here north on Madeline Island, there's no dependable cell reception. It's a safety issue that needs to be addressed. We saw a group of tourists this past summer at this intersection and one had fallen off a moped and injured her leg severely. We tried several phones, using different providers, and couldn't connect with 911 or any other number. Signal fluctuates between zero and one bar. The northern half of Madeline Island, perhaps even the northern two-thirds, suffers from a disgraceful lack of cell coverage.
Absolutely horrendous! I can only find service in 1 or 2 spots in the whole area. For the most part, the best reception is in Marshfield and the Interstate.

Lakeside coverage poor due to tower location on bay side (but bayside coverage a good 5 bars). AT&T GSM coverage is thru partnership with Einstein Wireless / Airadigm (AT&T presently has no towers of their own in this county).
Sprint Service in this Area has gone Downhill in the Last few Months. I have had Sprint in this Area for the Last 7 years, within the Last 60 days service has gone from poor to none. Sprint will not do anything about this except verify that there is a known hole in this area.

Just received this new PPC 6800 Mogul by HTC and there is absolutely no reception, roaming or otherwise in most of the north end of Janesville through to Milton. Service here is horrible and Sprint says they will not do anything about it. Funny thing is I was on the Nextel network prior to this and had excellent service in this area. Basically same company but different signals.
Beem with this company way too many years. I never can call from my house. I am trying to get opot of this piece of garbage plan now. Totally, problems is I don't know who to choose next.

Power keeps bouncing from 0 to 3 bars, sometimes even "No Service". Droped calls all the time. Can not get service to make a call. After dialing most times NO CONNECTION. AT&T seems to have gotten worse since it was Cingular!

The coverage map from AT&T says there is supposed to be a signal from partner, but there is none on my GSM phone. An old Nokia TDMA (AT&T)phone gets two to three bars. AT&T will discontinue TDMA in Feb 08. They say they will investigate, let's hope they fix the GSM situation.
