Once I pass through Ladysmith, WI on hwy 27 I have no signal at all. They are another company that promised towers and of course they never appeared. Am currently looking for a service provider with coverage in the area and not roaming coverage!
AT&T made us "upgrade" to GSM because they are eliminating our service as of Feb 2008. We tried calling from Berlin all the way through Wisconsin Rapids. NO SERVICE AT ALL. They took the phone back with a "sorry, we don't own 2 / 3 of the phone companies in Wisconsin, so we can only work with them to get them to upgrade their service. It will be a slow transition."
Terrible service; occasionally one bar but mainly none. AT&T map shows they have service in area; experience proves otherwise. Amazing with all the technology they can't (or choose not to) let customers know before signing contract. Bad reception extends throughout the region, with an occasional spike of reception - e.g. if want to park on hill along 47 north of Lake Tomahawk, can get reception... of course, you'd be parked on a curve on a highway, so not exactly safe or convenient.
I get dropped calls so much anywhere I go a say "crap" people aske, "cingular". I reply "yep". Most of everyone I know is curently a carrier of Cingular (AT&T), we all have different phones. All brands of phones drop all around town. Sometime it takes days to get my messages. Five bars my butt. They really should stop bragging about the whole " no dropped call" thing, we have all let them know theres problems with thier service, they don't seem to care. I guess when you're the cheapest phone plan out there suckers will continue to pay.

I can not get reception in my home unless I am hanging out the bedroom window. I have checked with T-Mobile and they pulled my address up on the screen and told me I am in the dead center of a dead zone. What a disappointment. If I wasn't in a plan with family in MN, I would be searching desperately for a new carrier.

Called Sprint many times about dropped calls as I drive up Lakeshore Dr.to my house. It gets good near Whistling Straits (of course, anything for Herbie K) but then dies down quickly near the lake. Even in Cleveland baseball park, I get no bars. A buddy has Einstein and had full bars at the baseball park. Sprint said that I am in a dead spot. Yea. I am getting out of my contract. In my house, I get no bars. My mom has a Trackphone and was able to call my sister no problem from my living room. Point blank- if you live around the Cleveland area and get Sprint after reading this, you can't say I didn't warn you.
