My analog phone worked. They switched to digital and gave me a new phone. It only worked outside and needed a booster antenae. When the battery went they again gave me anew phone, now I have to drive 4 miles to where I can see the towers to get the phone to work.I bought a different phone but it works the same.
It's weird because everyone who has Verizon has this same exact problem: our phones say we are picking up service when we are on the end of Madeline Island, but no calls can be connected and no text messages can get through. Service is spotty all over the Island which is a major safety concern. There are a lot of people on this island during the summer so it would make sense for them to improve service sometime.
No coverage in the Necedah / Castle Rock area. Very limited signal while on the Castle Rock Lake.

There is almost no reception at all One minute you have three bars the next 0. I can call from home if I stand out on the upper deck on the bench in the left hand corner of the house. There are dead areas in Nelsonville and forget reception on Hwy. 66 it is nonexistant.

Occasionally I get one bar but usually not enough to make or receive a call. 3G picks up but switches quickly to edge. I had poor service in this area with US Cellular too, but this seems worse. Too bad, only way to get an iPhone.

Drops every call... ... ..poor reception on messages that are in and out. Better reception in Village Hall parking lot. Will not hold a charge.
T-Mobile has no service of their own anywhere from Fond Du Lac county northward in the state of Wisconsin. T-Mobile customers traveling in these areas use Einstein PCS, IWireless, and in areas where they are the only choice AT&T.
If you are looking at service from AT&T and travel or live west of Fond Du Lac and Oshkosh in places such as Ripon, Green Lake, and Berlin be aware. Once you get a few miles out of Fond Du Lac or Oshkosh AT&T looses signal and even though your phone continues to display AT&T you are actually roaming either on Einstein PCS, or IWireless depending on the area traveled. If you live or spend considerable amounts of time in these areas and are looking for a wireless provider I would look elsewhere.
Horrible reception, not the phone's fault however. We actually tried AT&T and wound up with the same bad reception. It seems that we're in a dead zone.
