I bought the Pocket PC over the net, to browse the web and to make calls. I purchased two plans, one for data and one for minutes back in 2002. As of today, I still think they don't provide data coverage north of Port Washington, and I am roaming on another network when I make calls that far north. I onced stayed in Chicago with friends of mine, and I had better luck with coverage, but it seemed that I could only get four bars in my bed.

I get absolutely no reception in my house here and poor reception outside. It sucks when you have to go outside and to talk on your phone in the freezing cold weather.

everywhere IN la crosse and surrounding is good, except where I work, on SMITH VALLEY, NO BARS at all, kinda sux so ill havta switch to alltel. other than that spint is good here

Reception is marginal, at best. Lots of dropped calls or garbled conversations. I spoke with a "level 3" tech support person who indicated there are no plans to improve in this area. Great reception just 1 / 2 mile north on County "O" north of Applegate (Wagon Wheel) restaurant.

There is some service in the Waupaca area, especially as you get close to downtown. Just 9 miles out of town, service breaks up horribly and is impacted by the hills and valleys as well.

Dead zone area, signal within 4 block radius is scratchy at best. Next to no signal indoors. Have tested with two Motorola phones, one sony, one samsung, and two Nokia phones. The cheap nokia's have the best antennas for Cingular FYI... ..minus they rest of the phone is crap.

I had switched providers because Cingular had the latest phone that I wanted. BIG MISTAKE. I not only had no reception outside of the city but in my own apartment. I needed to call the police once and my phone didnt have any cignal. Thats when I decided to switch back to my previous provider. Completely uncalled for!

I visit Monroe regularly from Chicago, and I have no coverage of any kind north of Cedarville, IL or west of Beloit, WI. Very frustrating...

I used to get coverage when I had older technology and old AT&T. Today I have Zero coverage at Lake Redstone, LaValle, or Reedsburg, WI. I have to drive to Baraboo or Wis Dells to get coverage.
