No problems with Cingular Wireless (TDMA) within these boundries. Also, NORTH on Rt. 9 into the town of Bayville provides adequate service, but gets a little shoddy before being handed off to the Toms River cell site. Overall, service is very good from the Manahawkin area north to the North Toms River area.

Went up to visit family this past week and things must have changed a lot since the previous reviews posted for the area. I never once had less than a full signal or lost a call. Great coverage... ignore the other reviews

If Nextel"s Phones were as good as their service, they would be a terrific company!

Anywhere you go in town now, Sprint has great coverage. Within the past year they added 4 new towers within Toms River, and in other surrounding towns the coverage is awesome. The only time I don't get service is when I am inside a bank or a food store. Other than that, it's great.

Better service than Verizon in most areas of Toms River, Brick, Lakewood. The dead areas in Silverton have been gone for a little over a year. The dead spot by Ocean County College that you get with Cingular and Verizon is no longer a problem with Nextel. After having Verizon for 2 years, Cingular for one year, and Nextel for 2 years, I must say that Nextel far surpasses them both. Several friends have switched over and could not be happier.

I get good service throughout the area. It has service in most basements. While T-Mobile is horrible.

Always a full signal anywhere I go in Brick. I suggest the ones who are having problems switch cell companies :)

all the people that live in 60 acres have to go into parking lot to make or receive a call or make a call from inside the house and that is with t mobile Sprint and Verizon with AT&T I sit in my living room and have no problems sending or receiving calls love AT&T but not that happy with the price and is almost identical to verizon.

i get perfect reception along w. commodore and alot of streets in jackson, all I have a problem is getting on route 9 I lose all 4 bars

Switched from T-Mobile and have had nothing but better service in Jackson and on the way down on RT.9 where T-Mobile would lose service for a bit and I really do have MORE BARS IN MORE PLACES and I also see all my bars more often then I did with tmobile

Cingular has amazing coverage everywhere, i'm very very impressed after coming from Verizon. I've never had one dropped call and almost always have 4-5 bars. Cingular (AT&T) is for sure raising the bar!

I had Verizon for years and just accepted the fact that my phone wouldn't work anywhere in my house. I was scared to try anyone else, fearing they would all be even worse. Little did I know, true happiness could be found with Cingular. I switched after the merger with AT&T Wireless and it's been amazing. I never knew what it felt like to be on a cell phone and in my house, until know. I am the happiest I have ever been. Thank you Cingular.

The bars in this area vary between 3 and 5. I have never dropped any calls and always receive all my calls. I couldn't be happier with Cingular's service these days. I got Cingular after the merger and have had nothing but pleasant experiences. They work everywhere Verizon does and doesn't. Easily the best provider out there.

used to have only 1 or 2 bars but the last couple of monthes the reception has inproved to at least 4 bars.
