99% of the time my phone service is excellent. I only see 3 bars but my calls rarely drop. I also have the same experience in the Lexington Park, Md. area.

Love this new Razr phone. It works great!

I live in a low area on a creek where reception was poor several years ago for most of my friends. I now get good reception with two bars and no dropped calls. I get consistently good reception in all parts of southern Maryland where I travel. I think my phone model has better reception than most.

Posted last year when I had the v551 and LG c1300. I see now that the phone makes a difference as well. I have had a razr since feb and can now make and recieve calls all the time with very few(less than 10) drops.

Nextel works good in the house and around the area. Only drops on the dips on RT4 near Chaneyville and Lower Marl.

Good reception with Verizon throughout the Southern portion of St. Mary's County. With the addition of the new cell tower at St. Mary's College it seems coverage has improved, to include service at Webster Field. If living or working in Southern St. Mary's county Verizon is the only provider that works in the most areas.

Good service, never dropped. Could be better though. Only places I lose reception is around the Hollywood area. Strangely mechanicsvill has full bars.

I get 3 bars on my cell phone. I get 4 bars on my Verizon Broadband PCMCIA Card with booster antenna

I have never dropped a call at my house. There is definitely a dead zone in valley lee, tall timbers, and piney point. Once you get on St. George Island, however, most phones can make and maintain calls. Service is from a tower in Dameron, MD (across the river in Ridge). New tower being built in Drayden, but not ready soon.

Service is spotty in low areas, and a signal at home depends on the weather conditions. Most places on Rt4 and surrounding areas are good. Too bad the others companies can't compete with Verizon, it would lower prices and improve service. GSM phones are more versatile and complaint outside of local and Domestic areas.

Really spotty coverage. Geat if your in the middle of campus or on the river.

Two bars downstairs, three bars upstairs in some places and in some locations outdoors. I have an Adirondack Chair outside located where I can reliably get 3 bars :-) Service is generally adequate, could be better of course (like 5 bars), but it is okay and much better than it used to be.

Calvert county has good coverage near Rt 4, but go 1 / 2 mile east or west and ANY dip in the rod will reslut in a dropped call. Like someone else said, I wish we had a good GSM carrier. If we ever get better coverage from another carrier, then lookout Verizon, I'm dropping you like a hot potato.

Reception along the Route 4 corridor is Average to Good, move off of route 4 and it goes down especially in the low lying areas where you get cell drops.

All calls drop within 5 min

Constant dropped calls while at home and on Rt. 4 North and South in Calvert. Purchesed phone March of 2009. Getting to know phone but constant problems. Never know I am receiving phone calls and problems with message notification. May not receive voice mail for days. Verizon service calls last 4 hours then refered to RIM and spend another 4 hours trying to get the phone to work correctly. Major Problems and when asking others with same phone many have changed to new service providers due to problems with phone and service. I was finally sent a replacement phone. Worked well day one, day two glitchy, by day three key pad unresponsive. Called Verizon and told they will do me a favor by letting me buy another type of phone. SCAM. I told them they think we are stupid to fall for that trick. Looking for new carrier and phone.
