I live in Henderson Park off Bud Henderson Road; I always have 5 bars on my phone. However; my neighbors that have other carriers always have reception problems. GO ALLTEL!

I had AT&T before and could never get reception in my house. Since I switched to NExtel I have full bars all the time. I've dropped maybe 5 calls in the year that i've had the phone. the only place I don't have service is down Beatis Ford Rd. going toward Charlotte, by the new developments

There is a Verizon Tower located on the Davidson College Campus which provides good coverage for the campus and town.

I live near David Cox Rd and had terrible coverage with Sprint in the previous 3 years that I have been with them but recently upgraded to the BB curve expecting better reception but not the case. So, I decided to call and complain to customer service about the terrible coverage I have been experiencing and threaten to cancel all five of my lines regardless of what the ETF were. As a resolution, Sprint sent me a Samsung Airave (at no charge only activation fee required) personal tower which covers up to 5000 sq feet in the home. Now I currently receive 5 full bars and fastest possible data connection for 1XEVDO. Still don't have the best coverage leaving the house but.5 mile down the road I get decent coverage. Hope this helps.

Couldn't be happier - Verizon service and reception is great (and I swear, I do not work there!) Never lost a call in Charlotte / and love their online features where I can examine my monthly cell phone bill a bunch of different ways (sort by longest call / most expensive call / etc). It will even suggest another plan if it could save me money based on my usage patterns... Excellent all around.

Reasonably good coverage. No dropped calls in this area, even inside a large apartment building.

I have full coverage all over Charlotte. Never lose a signal. I had verizion previously and at best 1 would get 2 bars. T-Mobile is 1000 times better, and cheaper. Only disadvantage is no 3g right now but should be here before spring.

ALLWAYS get perfect reception in this area, BUT my building and parking deck gets Poor reception (D'oh) and I get dropped calls and fluxuating on / off service... wish I could work outside... lol

Just moved near UNC Charlotte's campus and coming from Cameron, NC where there was hardly anything there, Alltel still prevailed and had fantastic service there. Here in Charlotte the service is just the same, crystal clear calls along with the EVDO technology offered here in Charlotte. This service is great, and I recommend Alltel to anyone who is looking for a dedicated, realiable celluar phone service. Pass the word around this company is truly about "loving" their customers. This is not surprising to be roaming on the Alltel network and still have excellent coverage. From Florida to New York to Texas Alltel has always provided me service that has never let me down. Consider switching to Alltel.

Just switched from Cingular / ATT which was abysmal after merger, dropped all calls, Blackjack battery drained everyday searching for signal, $300 paperweight. New Alltel service has 4 bars all the time and no dropped calls. Buh bye ATT.

service out here is cool all thought it is kinda hard to send pics sometimes but over all Verizon wireless is good

I have had Verizon for about 2 years. I have always had good reception with them even while traveling back and forth to Cleveland, OH. I had Sprint once and they are WAY OVER PRICED.

Reception is good. Have ahd T-Mobile / Sun Com for over a year and have had no problems. No 3G is kind of awaful for data services, but that should be expected. EDGE is slow slow slow. But for the $ the PHONE, plan and imited data capabilities cant be beat.

I get good reception practically everywhere. I like the service. I just wished they offered roll-over minutes / text and a family plan.

I average 3 bars in the house sometimes it fades to 1 but I never drop calls. At work in Cornelius off Bailey Rd.it is horrible indoors and 1 maybe 2 bars outdoors. Supposedly a new tower will be built to cover the whole but I don't know what providers will fill that tower.

I live in Davidson and work in Charlotte. Reception is good in both places and all the way to work. Sprint has good reception in major cities but spotty in rural areas. I can't live without the wireless internet service sprint offers, great backup internet service (mobile internet) to my cable modem.

Weak signal and dropped calls. Sometimes "No service" indicated. Signal varies wildly. Neighbors have swithced from Alltel after experiencing same problem. Their service currently from Cingular with no problem. Have talked to Alltel service who offer no help. I have been a customer of Alltell since 1992. My contract expires in August 2006. Goodbye Alltel.
