Alltel has very good reception all over the area here. Down around all the stores, Piggly Wiggly, Food-Lion, and Wal-Mart it's a full signal. Even out away from the popular hangouts the signal is good. I have a full signal at my house and it seems like the signal is always full.

Perfect reception from cingular. Any phone from Cingular you always have perfect reception

I have perfect reception if I have the antenna up. But when the antenna is down I have ok reception

I had decent reception out here in the country with my phone and really had no complaint. I just knew where to be in the house or yard if I needed to talk. My fiance has Suncom and it sucks out here. ZERO service 99% of the time. Within the past week or two a new tower has come on line just off the Olanta Hwy. just past Cusacc's Crossroads. Now my signal bars stay full all of the time and reception is perfect. Not sure what the problem is with Suncom though.

Let me first tell you that Cingular works real good in my area and also let me tell ya Cingular is the best! I have a go phone and it works real good but my sister has a tracfone and she has problems wit her phone but anyhow I LOVE CINGULAR!

Used to get fair reception, but since Alltel put up the tower in Oakdale last December, I'm getting GREAT reception. Even inside my house. It has improved reception in Timmonsville to I-95 and I-20.

I travel to Cheraw very frequently for work and can say that my phone usually has a very good signal on it, it's usually full at 5 bars but will drop down to 4 or even 3 indoors but calls can still be made clearly. Most people I talk to in the area tell me Alltel is the only way to go for the best signal there. I've never had a problem anywhere around Cheraw. I got my phone in Cheraw at the Wal-Mart and all the residential sections of city seem to have good coverage. No problems in or around Wal-Mart or Food Lion. In my experience, I would say Alltel provides very good coverage around this area.

Excellent reception in most buildings. This model phone seems to work better than most Cingular Phones in the same area.

I generally get 4-5 bars all over town with my Tracfone - which is on AT&T network.

I live by Florence South High School and work at McLeod Health. I've been using Sprint since October 2005 and am deliriously happy with their service so far. I have never had a dropped call anywhere in Florence.

Really great reception! I have known so many people not to get signal at Poinsette or Manchester... .woodsy area's... . with all types of phone services but Cingular always pulls through! Everywhere else pretty much seems to be great to minus a few corners on the roads here and there but it always comes back in before dropping the call.

I was allowed to view the Alltel tower maps at their office, recently. Was surprised to see a tower less then a mile from my home. Especially, since I only have 2 or3 bars of signal. Hmmmmm. Suncom using Cingular towers? My parents have suncom and there are all kinds of dead spot round Hartsville that Cingular covers. But anything, including a string and a can, is better then Sprint. Had them for 2 years. People call me the phone never rang, I could dial the cell phone from my home and it not ring, Often did not receive voice mail to the next day.

I have very good reception in and around all of B'ville. Now that towers have gone up near Society Hill, I have reception going to Florence too. The only place is on 38 S of B'ville to I95, there are patchy areas where you don't have service.

All coverage in town is Extended Area coverage. Below average or poor reception inside buildings and homes. No coverage immediately outside of town or between towns in area.

I've had my Verizon service for about five years now and I have gone through about four different cell phones. Ranging from Samsung, Nokia, Verizon and my latest is Motorola. I have come to realize that it is not necessarily your service provider but the style phone that you may have. Some of my family members have different style phones but we all have Verizon service and their reception is worse than mine. The only problem areas that I have run into are in the Lynches River area. And everyone seems to drop calls in that area. And depending on the outdoor conditions sometimes in the Elim area it gets choppy. But overall I have been extremely impressed with my Verizon service and have converted some of my friends over from their previous providers. Hope this little bit of information helps.

I have a Nokia model,5185iva, cell phone and get two bars receptation and I get better receptation out here with this model phone, than I did with a new Nokia phone and I gave them the new one, back. I only got one bar and not recptation going or coming in or out. I am looking for a phone that, I can get good receptation, not for looks. thank you. Earle McDaniel

my phone beeps 4 times and then just cuts off like i'm being alloted so many minutes per call... ..never had this trouble before... ..

I used to have Suncom and had no signal at my house. I just got Verizon and at least I have 2 bars now.
