Had Alltel with full bars but after buy out my BB pearl lost Internet bars dropped without any help from Verizon. I went to Sprint so far so good.

Must be a new site turned up. Coverage is great outside and most of inside the school... ... ... ..but we can't use it inside except after school lets out. Live nearby in Meadowlakes II and we now have full coverage in our house. Yea Comporium / Cingular!

All over Rock Hill I have reception. Even at my house where no other carrier picks up, I have crystal clear reception.

Coverage is fantastic around throughout Fort Mill, Tega Cay, and down all around Rock Hill. According to the tower lookup on this site the closes tower to Fort Mill is owned by alltel. And I know the signal is far stronger and works in more places than my old Verizon E815. I would definitely recommend the service to others as I was honestly quite surprised to see how strong the Alltel signal was in this area compared to what I hear about most others.

Verizon must have installed equipment just before Christmas of 2006, I get full scale on both my Phone and PDA now in SW Fort Mill.

Great reception in Rock Hill and Columbia. Reception lowers out in Lesslie / country but still works with this phone. Stay in the city and everything is alright.

New tower nearby solved all reception problems in Wiltshire Manor neighborhood.

Recently shopped with a friend at the new shopping center, Rivergate. We were in Target. I had full bars and great call quality with my Alltel phone. She had 1 bar on her Verizon phone. She could not hold a call to her husband. Eventually she had to use my Alltel phone to call him back. America's most reliable network, my a*s. Alltel has ben wonderful all around Chalotte and when I travel. They are much more inexpensive then Verizon and apparently "more reliable."

All the Bars all the time. Never seen an extended network in this area even when the electricity was out.

Alltel coverage has been absolutely perfect here ever since I signed up about two years ago. Anywhere I've ever been over the area here the signal has always been really high at 4 or 5 bars with very clear sounding calls and no drops. No problems on 485 or 77. Out and around town, even away from the interstate the signal still stays high. The signal drops off a little indoors with no windows like the Wal-Mart. But not near as bad as others. My friend with Verizon always asks to use my phone there and several places inside the Mall here in Pineville. Where I work at the hospital Alltel also seems to get reception in places others won't. It's also on full signal at all relatives and friends houses living all over the area. I'm not sure what it is about the signal but it just seems to do better overall in this area even though my friend with Verizon is always complaining in several areas. Overall, I'm really happy with the coverage and I love the My Circle feature. I just renewed my contract and added a line to have 2 lines with 900 minutes and unlimited calls to any 10 numbers for $69 and when I was shopping around it seemed like a better deal than anybody else offered especially with the coverage here.

I live in NJ, but travel often to Pineville to visit family and I have neaer had any problems with Verizon.

No trouble with reception. Not sure of the model of this Motorola, but it is a "Tri-mode", which I gather means both digital and analog. I get 5 bars both inside and out. On rare occasions there is some echo that is annoying. Interesting sidebar: When speaking to someone else who is ALSO on a cell phone there can be a slight delay that throws off the timing of the conversation just a hair, so that you end up talking over the beginning of each other's words. With someone you know well, and speak with often, it's a noticable difference. Whether that is a function of the cell phones, the network, or the sunspots that day -- I have no idea. But it's one reason I would never give up my land line.

Very good coverage in and around Clover / York. Have not had issues with calls dropping or signal loss. Had Verizon when we moved and they finally (after about 2 months of complaining and them sending people out) let us out of our contract. Its unfortunate though as Verizon has much better coverage when I go to the mountains... .Sprint has none! Local area is good though...

dont know why you would keep a phone that does not work, everyone is offering a trial period so you can check out your phone, I just read several " my phone has no service in my house" or " I have to go out to the driveway to get just one bar" well if it didnt work when you brought it home take it back, I did, I tried verizon, Alltel and cingular, none worked till I got sprint, this phone works the best for me, not good in the house but none did, this one has a fairly good signal all the way to work, at the douglas airport it has a very good signal and my Nextel goes in and out, if you live in york county s.c. Sprint has the best coverage of verizon,cingular and alltel, but just depends on where you go, take advantage of the trial period, if it does not work just tell them you do not want it, dont cry about having a phone that does not work, now if you move to an area and you had the phone well, guess your out of luck on that one.

nextel works in york very well, but when you get on hwy 49 n to lake wylie it is dead all the way to 274 and hwy 55. once in lake wylie it is great Sprint has towers there at 5 points and hwy 49 and sherrer rd. I think I want to try Sprint but I am stuck with Nextel till may... ..

We recently moved to the area, and brought our cell phone provider with us (for now). I have had pretty good coverage with Sprint. My husband and I both use Sprint. The phone you choose, definitely makes a difference. My husband has the Samsung SPH-a900 (The Edge), and it doesn't get any reception inside our house, but mine works well.

Can use anywhare in our house. Only occasional static due to weak signal. Typically 3 bars. Superior to Verizon which is pretty useless here in Holland Springs.
