Works always as long as it's charged! CDMA is the best network so far!

Was in port st lucie when huricanne Jeanne passed over 130 mph sustained winds, power out, water coming into the house. I talked on the phone to family and friends back in Ct without a dropped call. Now that is something.

Service is great, never have any problems. Been here for a year already and not one dropped call. A must in this area. Can drive on I95 from PSL down to West Palm and not drop a call. Nextel has some great plans since they merged with Sprint. The 2 way walkie talkkie is the way to go but please be courtious in public places while using it. We dont need to hear other peoples conversations. The Walkie talkie can be used through the ear piece but many people dont read the books on their phones so they just dont know.

just switched to Cingular because my Nextel service was the worst(dropped calls.straight to v.m.) am very pleased with cingular. have had about 2 wks. have 4-5 bars everywhere I go... even in the supermarket.

I have tried several different cell phones and different companies to find this one to be the best in my area. I do believe getting the right phone makes a difference. When we had Verizon, my husbands phone worked great where I had to stand at the end of my driveway to talk on mine.

I've live in St. Lucie West, but have traveled extensively throughout the south with this phone and have never had the slightest problem anywhere. Even in Missouri where my fiances Nextel Motorola i580 gets absolutely no reception, my LG Lotus works like a dream. I have never called customer service and didn't get my problem resolved courteously and as quickly as possible. I have had the same experiences with the Sprint / Nextel walk-in service centers. The billing dept., though leaves something to be desired. They are always screwing up the bill, so I need to check it every month to make sure it is correct, though when I need to call them about it, again, the problem is always resolved to my satisfaction.

Cingular service has been very good. We are near US1 and the towers are about 3 miles west so service here in Hobe Sound seems to always work.

Excellent reception in this area. The only problem I have is inside of cement buildings; which is to be expected. Indoor reception sucks for all of my phones (Cingular, Nextel) but that is due to cement construction of buildings in South Florida.

Perfect service all the time every day

I got tired of dealing with my coverage issues at Sprint PCS and we moved all of our phones over to Cingular. The people in their store were fantastic and the coverage is very good - we are pleased and now are glad to be a part of Cingular's family.

The only place I have less than ideal reception is next to sub-woofers.

Almost never have a dropped call - even in warehouses. Ours works nationwide with virtually no problems. Hurricane use was fine. Agree with other reviewer - it has much to do with the phone. A friend has Cingular and a Razr and has problems all the time in the same area.

No drop calls at all, I talk all day on the phone. I call NY, MA, CT, NH, CA and NJ from FL. I pay half of what I use to pay with Nextel.

We have had Alltel for almost two years now and have had a few complaints but overall, the service is great. Had a few dropped calls (standard for any wireless carrier), great for going out of town and state, handsets tend to act weird when using bluetooth technology, very limited selection of upgraded phones, top 10 friends list that you can call for free, not good at sending picture messages with older models, and very good with bargaining for lower billing prices.

I Love my metro PCS phone. Great signal and great price. I found a great metro PCS store on us1 in Tequesta (Tequesta Shoppes). they are so great and even gave me free phone accessories with my purchase. If your interested in metro PCS this is the place to go.

Sprint was horrible in Tequesta Area when we left Nextel 2 years ago. It took 2 years to finally get Sprint off my back-sending us an $800 bill even though we cancelled with 10 days and switched back to Nextel. Nextel generally has good reception but looking for a better rate plan.

Wonderful phone works extremely well in the farms we also have our own store out here. Excellent and honest (unlike Verizon company stores) go to Jupiter Cellular and ask for Craig tell him Jay sent ya.

Coverage much better than Verizon as is customer service. After the hurricane service was crap at my house for about 4 months, but now is excellent. I'm happy.

This is an old phone. I have dropped it, soaked it, kept it stuffed in my purse. But it still gets better reception than my husband's newer (but still 2 years old) phone (we are on the same Sprint plan). I don't get any reception at some part of the inside of the building where I work, but that is pretty much the only place I've had trouble here in Palm Beach. We are getting new phones soon and I hope my new one is at least as good as the one I have now.

much better reception than in Okeechobee, and when using my old razr I had no problem except for a small area on 68 going west toward 441 - not always a dead zone but a lot of dropped calls in about a one to two mile stretch. otherwise I had no issues with the razr.
