No service here. Walk out the street one block and you get full bars. But t mobile service is poor in many places in the sea coast. And forget about data! Was this review helpful to you?

I am staying at a campground on Exeter Road. When I first arrived here, I found out that cell and data reception is marginal at this location. I am using Verizon because I do have unlimited data. But that only helps when you have reception. When I arrived here in my motorhome, I did have 1-3 bars 3G connections. That was barely useable. I do need a data connection for business. I purchased a Wilson booster (Wilson is now called Weboost). I bought the Dr.4G-X at a cost of $480 - This booster comes with a 12 volts power-plug and inside / outside antennas. It can be used as a mobile installation in a car, RV etc. or, as I have done, I hard-wired it inside the motorhome and am using a different set of antennas. Of course, this is a lot of money but it has helped me to improve my reception to 2-4 bars of 4G / LTE. So much so that I can stream Amazon movies. I am using an iPhone 5 as a Hotspot. Was this review helpful to you?
Very intermittent reception - seems to vary with time of day. Many calls dropped, fuzzy / incomplete ring tones, high percentage of calls terminated prematurely, some conversations have fragmented talk paths. Purchased an in-house network extender from Verizon ($265) which helps a little by amplifying the reception from 0 bars to 1 bar.Was this review helpful to you?
The coverage has definitely degraded in the three years since they turned 4g on. It has become a joke, forget data, you're lucky if a call rings through. Sitting on Seabrook beach I've worked towers from Kennebunk Me. to Rockport Ma. with nothing local. Simply not worth the price premium. Couple this with poor reception in the open air parking lots of the Boston Seaport district where I work and it is clear that something is going on with the use of extant towers let alone building new ones. Even the commute down I-95 is spotty until you're within 128. I'm switching to the carrier offering the half-price deal. Coverage cannot possibly be worse considering it is near to nonexistent from Verizon. Anyone monitor these forums? Was this review helpful to you?
Have been with Verizon here for years and never had a problem. Suddenly this year it sucks - I don't get why.Was this review helpful to you?
I just bought a new phone and I have zero bars in my house !Was this review helpful to you?
Since moving to Exeter I have switched carriers more than socks it feels like. Yes there are dead zones, I get it and have no prob with it nothing you can do about it, bad weather, no signal same thing. Its New England lol! My point here is what I found works best if you live in Exeter is ATT or Verizon, Boost Mobile's 3G is livable but if you use T-Mobile or an MVNO of theirs forget it don't bother. Was this review helpful to you?
