Don't bother. I ended up, literally, throwing my MetroPCS phone at a brick wall a week after purchase. No one needs the stress promised to come with MetroPCS.Was this review helpful to you?
Basically, you get what you pay for. Virgin Mobile offers cheap pre-paid service... and you'll be able to take advantage of it for about 3 weeks out of the month you purchase. It may be by coincidence, but I've had my Rumor Touch for about 4 months. The last week of each month, I've lost my ability to send text messages for days at a time. The previous weeks will consist of dropped calls, people hanging up on you because they can't hear you, or a 24 hour waiting period for your friend to receive your text. Not to mention, they're extremely easy to hack, and quite frankly, there isn't much else for people to do in this area besides spy on their peers. Not recommended unless you're extremely patient, and public about your personal life. Was this review helpful to you?
Paying the extra $30 to have internet on a T-Mobile phone is a rip off in this area. You could select a link on your phone, then in the meantime, walk to the Kingston Public Library, find the site on their computer, walk back home and have a snack, all before T-Mobile is able to process your request. If you happen to wander into Newton, forget it; you'll have no service, which with T-Mobile, seems to effect the entire function of the cell phone. No texts, calls, internet, or e-mail unless you literally drive until you find at least two bars, at least in my experience. Was this review helpful to you?

Had no signal in the house until late 2009 and then one day had five bars, and that's how it's stayed. But... NO AT&T service in downtown Newmarket. Was this review helpful to you?
Inside test. Signal strength of -101 dBM (closer to zero is best). ***Bars don't tell you anything because the change in signal strength from 4 to 5 bars varies depending on your device*** Ping is 137ms / down is 0.88 Mbps (or 880 Kbps) / up is 0.17 Mbps. If I go 1.7 miles up Rte one to N. Hampton (Home Depot / Staples) I get around 2-3 Mbps, even inside a building. I was able to stream on Netflix without issue at those speeds. AT&T signal is quite good WHEN it is good which, unfortunately, is not consistently enough. Still I have unlimited data (grandfathered) so for now I will stay. Was this review helpful to you?
In past 4 months my poor service has turned to non-existant, Verizon tells me they have reorganized the antennas and some have been terminated. Have dropped calls, poor call quality and sometimes sit outside to call at all and experience dropped calls and poor reception. No bars show on my phone anymore. Was this review helpful to you?
Spotty at best. Even with 3g and full bars, can't always make calls, text, net, anything. Currently, no signal at all. Using wifi at T / A truck stop. Will call Customer Service tomorrowWas this review helpful to you?
