Seven dropped calls while trying to contact a physician. Completely unsatisfied. I now wish I'd gone with a land line but I am quite literally bound to a two year contract. Miserable !Was this review helpful to you?
Sometimes I have no bars, other times, I have no service at all. At least with no bars, I can sometimes get a SMS to go through. At my work in downtown Augusta, it's essentially the same. Was this review helpful to you?
I live off the Pond Rd in West Gardiner. When I first moved here, I had Verizon and I almost never had service when I was home. Granted, I do live down a dirt road surrounded by trees, but I was assured by Verizon employees that I would still have service. Since then, I've switched to US Cellular and have had MUCH better luck. I don't have excellent service, but I can still (usually) talk on my phone at my house without losing calls. And everywhere else I go I almost always have excellent service. If you live in Gardiner, I would definitely suggest US Cellular! Was this review helpful to you?
I think most people do not realize that you have to do a tower update on your phone at least once a month. (*228, send, option #2) Garnet Rd. and the Harpswell area do not get that great of reception, but finally Harpswell agreed to let Verizon Wireless put a tower up. The reception will be improving very soon. I have had cell service through AT&T and US Cellular, Verizon is better by far. Plus if something happens to your cell Verizon can usually fix it right then and there. Other carriers, you lose your cell for a week while they send it off to the manufacturer. Was this review helpful to you?
There is no reception in the Sebasco area. Have to drive.50 miles to top of hill in order to check emails and voicemails. Crazy in this day and time not to have coverage when so much money is spent advertising for new and renewal customer accounts. Why bother when you can't use the phone. Was this review helpful to you?
Pathetic and temporary reception. Towers have been in place for years and do not get hooked up. Political reasons and local business influence seem to be at fault. Was this review helpful to you?
I live 3 miles from the Verizon store and have no reception at home. Harpswell area (just to our south)is not serviced either. Totally aggravation with Verizon for continually telling me "we are aware of the problem." It has been YEARS and still no service in this area. I guess no Verizon execs live around here. Was this review helpful to you?
I drive all over the state. I got T-Mobile because at the time I was all over New England and they had the best coverage. Now I am in just Maine and have little or no cover and have many dropped calls and messages to callers that my number isn't in service or am unavailable and message that don't get through for 2 days. My cell phone is my office phone. How sad that I can be on the interstate, driving past the TMobile call center and have no reception at all. I have to wait until the end of July or pay $300 to get out of it. I can't even make a call at the end of my street - no reception at all.Was this review helpful to you?
We get pretty good reception even within our house right on the coast with a metal roof. If we go outside, it has better reception, but out of all the services, Verizon seems to have the best coverage for us.Was this review helpful to you?
Can't use my phone at home! I wanted to get rid of my land line! Guess not.Was this review helpful to you?
