poor service from T-Mobile vendor at 101 Univ Place..will never buy a T-Mobile product again, thanks to him; never explained bar issue, or possibility of no reception; closed early, closed on Saturday, etc.Was this review helpful to you?

Bar goes to ZERO. Failed calls 3 out of 4 attempts for the last couple of months. You figure you'd have perfect reception since you're in direct line of sight of the Empire State Building and I'm sure every carrier has broadcast capability from midtown. Was this review helpful to you?
Reception in my house is TERRIBLE. Be very cautious about getting Sprint if you live in this location - near the intersection of 212th and 108th St. I moved here after having been with Sprint for 6 months, and have been unable to talk in my house ever since. I know Verizon has excellent coverage in this location - not sure about others. Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile works reasonably well for me in midtown / uptown NYC. In Soho, where my wife gets excellent Verizon reception, I get none at all. I use the phone oftenin Europe where T-M is excellent. Was this review helpful to you?
Often shows 5 bars close to the window but sevice drops or clips. Not nearly as reliable as Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
Signal goes in and out in my apartment building, Calls drop frequently and callers can be difficult to hear. Worst during the day. Forget about talking to others on cell phones - you find yourself asking "what?" every other sentence. I like T-Mobile prices, low surcharges, and customer service, but I am considering switching to Verizon, despite the fact that it might cost - gulp - double what I pay. I've had Sprint, which is tempting price-wise, but customer service stinks and reception is spotty. AT&T gets mixed feedback from my friends. Was this review helpful to you?
Two bars most of the time..get dropped calls often if I move around inside a building. Was this review helpful to you?
I had at&t / Cingular since 1999 for personal use, and it was downright unreliable. Since I switched to verizon, my signal has been perfect. Both phones sitting side by side, AT&T has one bar and Verizon is full (not that it matters on a digital network, one bar is as good as full reception on at&t) I should have switched a long time ago!Was this review helpful to you?
I'm getting consistently excellent reception in this area. Never had a dropped call with T-Mobile. But I'm in Manhattan most of the time; it might be a different story in the boroughs. Was this review helpful to you?
