No service at all in office. Have to go out into the street where the service is intermitant. Was this review helpful to you?
Up until recently, reception and call quality has usually been fine. For the past couple of days, however, I have been experiencing dropped calls (irrespective of the location of the person with whom I'm talking). When I look at the reception meter, the number of bars fluctuates quickly from 2 to 5. Could this all be a function of a failing battery? I've had the same battery for a couple of years. Was this review helpful to you?
On this block and in my building, I get perfect reception. When moving toward the inner part of the building, signal strength drops slightly, but I still retain the ability to make calls even inside the elevator. Was this review helpful to you?
In my apartment on the 2nd floor I have to be sitting beside one particular window facing south to get one bar if I'm lucky. Boyfriend has Sprint with no problems with reception. I have to add that I have a very small year old phone that I didn't buy through the carrier (unlocked), which might be contributing to the problem, but I get good reception elsewhere in the city. Was this review helpful to you?
Just changed my old Motorola V60c (brilliant) after 2.5 years. Verizon reception perfect everywhere, can even take it in the bathroom. Just got this weekend Motorola V265 and had to change it after 48 hours - no sound, bad connection, static and dropping calls. Second new V265 brilliant - so far! Verizon is the best - with AT+T my partner has to hang outside my apartment window to get even one bar!Was this review helpful to you?
Reception is fine when I am outside but when I am in a building there is little to no reception. Was this review helpful to you?
T-Mobile sucks in this area. I've seen an AT&T GSM phone work here, where mine doesn't.Was this review helpful to you?

I get poor reception in my apartment on 14th and Ave A, or anywhere else I've been in Manhattan for that matter. I was told my Samsung phone needs an upgrade to work better, but I only bought it three months ago (warranty is up already, so store won't take it back). They want me to mail it to Texas for repairs, and won't give me a loaner or pay for shipping. Having a ten minute conversation without dropping the call is rare. AT&T is horrible. I am paying the $175 to cancel service and switch to Verizon. Was this review helpful to you?
