I recently switched to Sprint and there is NO reception inside Penn Station. I am very disappointed with the service. Other than Verizon does anyone know what carrier gets good reception inside Penn Station? Was this review helpful to you?
Problem is in my apt. Phone will cut out for no reason. I used to have an Audiovox phone which was perfect. Used it for about 5 years until it started giving me problems turning it on. Had no problems until then and had perfect service in elevators, the subway, etc. Have always had Verizon and find they have the best coverage; I blame the phone I got from them recently for the sporadic cut-outs.Was this review helpful to you?
Got Verizon in April and the signal was perfect. Worked in some subway stations too. Now, a month later has very intermittant service anywhere near the Empire State Building up to W 40th Street along Fifth. The tell me there is nothing in their system that indicates a signal problem. Can't get a signal at my apartment building on W 35th St anymore. :(Was this review helpful to you?
it seems that if i get stuck in traffic between high rise buildings the signal strength goes down to nothing at allWas this review helpful to you?
Very strong signal indoors and outdoors. Full 5 bars on the phone. Was this review helpful to you?
At street level on the corner an average of 3 bars. On the 5th floor of the same corner full 5 bars of signal. (Note that prior Verizon phone shows 5 bars at street level, but had comparable call quality). Was this review helpful to you?
Outdoors I get 5 bars, indoors I get between 1 and 2. If I stand by the window I can get 4 bars. However, even with 1 bar this SE T630 phone has been able to make and receive calls. On evenings and weekends when a lot of people are in my neighborhood (SoHo), there is more clipping/compression during a call. I think T-Mobile needs another cell site in this area, but for most of the day it's pretty good. I switched from Verizon, which always gave me 5 bars of service on a Motorola Timeport, but the quality of the calls wasn't as clear as it is with the T630 with 4 or 5 bars. AT&T also shows up as an available network but it doesn't reach all the way inside like the T-Mobile signal does. Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (TDMA)
ATT Sucks in NYC. It was great in LA, but upon moving here about 85% of my calls go straight to voice mail. ANd this is supposed to be the "good ATT" service. Only Verizon and T-Mobile are very good in the city. Was this review helpful to you?
Lately, I've been having very poor reception in my office. I was told that T-Mobile had a cell problem in the region. When are they going to fix it?Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T Wireless (GSM)
see comment on 90811. Looks like ATT GSM needs work nationwide. I spend too much time with nose pressed to glass. Was this review helpful to you?
