Dozens of dropped calls over 2 years. Can't complete calls on a regular basis from my apartment. ATT said it was my phone and sold me a new phone. $700 later and that did not work. Now they told me to use my wireless (Cable) option. WHAT THE HECK AM I PAYING ATT FOR? Somebody should start a Class Action Suit about this. Clearly, thousands of people cannot get good service in Manhattan. I have no problems outside of NYCWas this review helpful to you?
I have switched to Sprint from T-Mobile in December 2015. I used data service and made phone call in Manhattan (below Harlem), Edgewater, all over in Queens, Edgewater, NJ, and so far I have absolutely no complaints. Was this review helpful to you?
On a good day I get two bars in my apartment. I can get three bars in a specific five square foot area of my apartment. The common areas of my apartment building are much worse. One bar or less is standard unless you are twenty feet or less from a building entrance. Cell service is generally bad on Riverside Blvd. but inside the buildings it is horrendous. I dont know if this is due to the construction of the buildings around here, or a lack of cell towers or the fact that ABC has a studio with a massive satellite dish the is causing interference. Or perhaps Verizon just plain sucks. But it's not like any of the other carriers suck less right? Was this review helpful to you?
Service is garbage. Can't place or receive calls and I'm only on the third fl of my UWS apartment. Can't wait for my contract to run out and I'll switch to T-MOWas this review helpful to you?
I noticed that overall, the service is getting worse. Either too many users or not enough towers and / or servers to handle the rapid population increase. Verizon's coverage map is NOT a true representation of their service coverage. Was this review helpful to you?
iPhone 5s jumps from lte, 4g to edge. Signal in Central Park is weak to nonexistent. The signal on street varies as I said however inside buildings no signal at all. Had Verizon before never had an issue. Switched for unlimited data however if you have no signal what good is it ! Haha T mobile if you are reading this it is time to spend less on commercials and more on your network! Was this review helpful to you?
The reception is very poor around the city. I've been having difficulties in the past few days all around the city, including Union Square and East Village areas. Was this review helpful to you?
Iphone 4S many many dropped calls -- even standing beside window..also right outside the building. Verizon said "yes the area you are in has marginal cell coverage" VZ recommended a cell phone extender for $250! Said they are limited in the number of cell towers by NYC regulations - which I think is NOT true! I am thing about switching carriers -- maybe VZ in manhattan is just too popular so after 20+ years I may just make the switch! Was this review helpful to you?
AT&T coverage is spotty. It has not gotten better in the 5 years I have been on them. Truth is I am struggling moving to T-Mobile and android. Was this review helpful to you?
The most horrible wireless carrier in NYC. Period. Data doesn't work as it is horrendously slow but fewest dropped calls is definitely true because you can't make a call to begin with! Was this review helpful to you?
