AT&T
No reception at all for voice calling on the 3rd floor of 10 W. 15th Street. EDGE (data) requests succeed sporadically, but definitely are not instantaneous. My other cellphone is a Motorola RAZR on the T-Mobile network. It gets 5 bars in the exact same location as my Blackberry 8310 on the AT&T network. Friends with iPhones (on AT&T) were unable to place or receive phone calls or texts from my apartment. There is definitely an AT&T dead zone where I live.

I get reception almost everywhere, but my calls are getting dropped more and more and my data connection seems slower than ever, probably due to all the new iphones on the network. very frustrating. I want to switch carriers, but don't know which is best for general nyc coverage.

Reception is terrible. I can barely get 3g service and when I do, I can rarely make a call and sustain it for more than a minute. This service is horrible.

2 bars to 0 bars indoors. I pray never to receive or have to make a call in this area knowing it will be dropped or have spotty reception. 2g is almost as bad as 3g in this area.

This might be temporary as I have had reception here in the past, but now there is no reception between Spring St. and Houston St. on the west side of 6th Ave.

Ever since I switch from T-Mobile which was horrible to say the least. I haven't had anything but stellar service with At&t. My gf had Verizon and there wasn't one place in the city / long island or upstate that she got service and I didn't, love AT&T I do get dropped calls sometimes but 3G works great for me 90% of the time. Most people that have bad reception with AT&T and iphone are the same ones that refuse to update their phones or are just exaggerating about how they lose service. because I have been in many places with people with sprint / verizon / T-Mobile and with AT&T I always have service longer than any other carrier.

Reception is excellent, but call quality is poor, dropped calls, hissing, garbled voices, sometimes the sound cuts out. Calls sometimes are clear when your face is pressed against the window. Is this AT&T's business model? Fix it

Reception is horrible all over tri-state area. Dropped calls, no service, horrible voice quality. Sounds like a cell phone from 10+ years ago if you can get a signal. DREADFUL

Verizon's signal fades in and out, and there is no consistency. Very high probability of call being dropped. Battery dies pretty quickly.

My phone drops calls almost every 10 minutes, without fail. The signal is chaotic, jumping from full 3G to nothing without warning. I have tried 4 different phones from the iPhone to an old Nokia (brick style) with no luck. I have complained repeatedly to AT&T who have given no help at all, the calls are dropped even when on the line to customer support. I believe that this is a dead zone for all AT&T customers. My roommate has Sprint and has no problem at all though.
